This might sound crazy, but i have perfect pitch, and i always felt that e-Minor is brooding sort of sinister key (bright yellow). Well, the thing is, i noticed that the remaster version is tuned to standard A-440 hertz (which i always avoid in my instrument tunings). But the crazy thing is that the original here is actually set to Scientific Tuning (A-432, or C-256 depending on where you reference). So almost saying that, even though i like the tighter production value of the remaster, the original is actually being performed in what i consider Natural Tuning. Considering that this song is about magical and spiritual elements, i think attention to tuning is rather pertinent here, indeed.

This does sound harder/faster than the remaster, including the vocals. In fact I'm not so sure it wasn't a re-recording rather than a remaster.

The vocals were rerecorded cuz they lost the original vocal tracks.

I'm so glad I bought an original copy of this back in 2003. Little did I know that a year later that disaster of a remastered version would replace this.

Was there different vocals in the remastered version. I only have that one and this one has more high end on the vocals than the remastered version. Also the the deep vocals are different.

He had to completely re-do the vocals, and he's older and a bit worse now so yeah.

Once you hear this original version, youbcan never go back to the remastered one.

Okay..coming from some1 whos bascally only ever heard the remaster of this song. The vocals in the original are far superior. Pretty sure thats the problem with the remaster..Im assuming anyway. Because sound wise the remaster is better. To bad they fucked the vocals so we couldnt get best of both worlds. I listened to this song 100s of times on the remaster so that version is the one that sounds normal to me. Im kinda glad for it too. With all the technology in todays sound and speakers its just better to have a higher quality song imo. But i wouldnt blame the people more familiar with this version for not accepting the remaster. dont get me wrong there.

I like the original much better than remastered,I still have this on a cassette that I copied off a friends CD about 25 years ago and it still plays good.

This was one of the first songs I heard by Megadeth. This has been my favorite song and megadeth has been my favorite band ever since. God damn, goosebumps every time.
