Megadeth - Bad Omen Lyrics
Down fell the stars, as they
Splashed into the sea.
"Mi nomine Baphomet",
Come dance with me.
Sacrifice the virgins,
Their master's time has come,
The moon is full tonight.
Drinking, dancing,
They worship, and toast
The devil, who's watching,
With demon's remote.
Fire, rising,
Racing in your blood.
Possessed, naive,
Bloody blasphemy.
Sinister's the word,
As the demon's take their fill.
An orgy's taking place,
Human blood will spill.
An act of worship,
As they conceive the ghouls.
Satan has their souls,
They sing pagan tunes.
The ceremony,
Is sure to be cursed.
They ask for his blessings,
But, down comes the worst.
Their bodies, soulless,
A corpse from the grave.
Their minds are helpless,
And, no-one can save [x 5],
No-one can save them (oh no). [x 2]

one of the first CD's i ever paid money for, great album, this was my favorite song on it. towards the end of the song i was sure that this line (( Their minds are helpless and no one can save )) was (( Damit to hell bitch no one can save )) lol
The beginning sounds like the basis of season in the abyss from Slayer to me
2:50: my favorite part.
yo this song is so dope! was introduced to Metal with a Justice album 25yrs ago. rode the Metallica train. now 41 and I can't be any more thrilled listening to Megadeth as a brand new fan. Sick. Fell like I heard some bass guitar that reminded me of Rob Zombie. Is this where Zombie got some influence
Megadeth is a pretty big influence for all those groovy metal bands.
Se parece mucho a killing is ny business
I recently found out that megadeth played this early on their last show before going off to record the peace sells album live in Denver
the last minute of this song is the best part
I like metallica but Megadeth there stuff is evil and loud I fuckin luv it

Am I the only one who can't understand what he's saying?
If you look up lyrics, they actually make sense
I'm latin american an I can understand at least almost the whole song.
@Spirit Crusher Haha yeah, me too dude! lml
Sick fucking voice!!!🤘🤘🤘
This is one of their tougher ones.
i always thought the guitars in the beginning sound like they are laughing. maybe its just me or maybe dave did it on purpose
@Jaden Lynch yeah
You just laugh, ha ha bitch... From Darkest Hour, that's some guitar laughing, too.
nearly all of the songs on this album have a really evil menacing start
@Samford Menacing, sure. I got the cassette for nothing from a friend back in '86. He listened to The Conjuring once. He said, where it goes, OBEY! at the end, it freaked him out. Fuck, it's the most perfect album ever produced, any gender, and I got it free. I did end up buying the CD like three different times because CDs weren't the indestructible things they were sold as when they first hit the market.
I swear, I saw a clerk in a department store demonstrating a CD, it was broken in half. He put it on the tray, closed the tray, played the thing, and it didn't skip. So obviously, that was bullshit. I don't know what they did to make it convincing, but it was convincing. No scratches, no warping, no dragging like 8-tracks and cassettes always ended up doing. Just bullshit.
@idoj654123 Yep
Even though the bass line is killer, I still think that Gar's jazzy drum line makes this song unbelievably great.
Sean Rossick it really makes this song
People always say that Dave Lombardo was the geatest thrash drummer and i have to disagree. Gars drumming was much more technical and groovey than his. I wish we could have seen more from him in Megadeth.
Andrew Smith They’re both good but I prefer Lombardo. Refer to songs like Live Undead and Seasons in the Abyss.
@Andrew Smith you can't compare dave and gar...gar is a jazz drummer and dave is a rock drummer. But let's be honest here dave is way better when it comes down to it.
Dillon Dean No he isn't. Down to what?
Sick bassline
Love the first 1 minute and 40 seconds of the song. Great opening once again!
Hard to believe I was 15 when this album came out!
Hard to believe I wasn't even a sperm when this album came out!
So was I bro
I was born 15 years later 😂
Same here, or maybe 14.
@idoj654123 I Have the Vynil...was 17 when I bought it. Great Album.
Fuck yes. Megadeth is life.
