Meat Puppets - Confusion Fog Lyrics

I lost my mind a couple of gals ago
I left behind, never saw it go
Just a little bit of snow out on the leaves
Just confusion drifting swirling to my knees
I took the time a couple of days ago
To cross my mind, the only thing I know
Just a little bit of snow out on the leaves
Just confusion drifting swirling to my knees

Blue wind drift on
Blow through till the dust is gone
Gone, confusion fog

I drove too fast, hit the brakes too soon
I broke my wheels, blew my afternoon
There's just a little bit of snow out on the leaves
Just confusion drifting swirling to my knees

Blue wind drift on
Blow through till the dust is gone
Gone, confusion fog

I took the time, they never saw it go
I left behind the only thing I know
Just a little bit of snow out on the leaves
Just confusion drifting swirling to my knees

Blue wind drift on
Blow through till the dust is gone
Gone, confusion fog

Blue wind drift on
Blow through till the dust is gone
Gone, confusion fog

@ScaryKidsScaringMarj The first 3? Wasn´t the first of those their actual first album? That one really doesn´t cut it for me. It has some ok. songs, but very big but.. I think the sounds on Mirage are so 80´s it bothers me a bit- where as Up On The Sun is pure timeless masterpiece. I think Too High To Die is actually really good- despite being a gold record- and why should being popular take anything away from it? It has very few weak songs- if any.

I agree with a lot of what you say. But this was my first album of theirs at 20 years old after some chick I had a crush on at record store gave me the "Too High To Die" free store promo.

I figured if Curt Cobain liked them so much, I'd just steal his good taste and make it as if I were always into them too. Okay, fortunately I never did that lie. But I sure thought of it.

I like the the '86 and '87 LPs. It's where my interest began. "Confusion Fog" is a classic

But I will go further and what you say in your props about Too High To Die and add that I think it's their masterpiece.

Up on the sun was one that actually took me a little while to get into but that's actually maybe their best. As for the silly to some synth sounds, it works for me.

Their second album in up on the sun is there early Pete to me. Probably the later 80's stuff that followed. His son a remastered the album actually said he didn't like wavosaur parts of Mirage. To each their own

Yah, always loved this song. A real gem on what seems to have been a very underrated Puppets' album.
