Its so hard to make a great song about long love. He is one helluva songwriter!

One hell of a song.

Good Lord, you don't get lyrics like that very often in this life. Layers of intellectual meaning; so much emotional impact.

Brilliant Music ! I've been a fan ever since J Mc M released his 1st album in 1989 ! Last night (09/02/2017), I finally saw him perform 'live' with band (all great musicians) at the bar 'het manuscript' in Ostend/Belgium..! Awesome gig !!!

In a business where so many "stars" are products of a mainstream agenda there are true musicians and songwriters..This is one of them..Had the privilege of seeing him and his exceptional band in Belfast last Monday..Thanks for posting.

I am going to see him in Denver at the bluebird theater this Friday and I can't wait. The first time I saw him I was 10 years old at a small bar in Reno. To this day he still never disappoints.

Its definitely drop D but he plays it in a unique way.

He seems to know just what it is and feels like to live out here. Not many of us on the high plains, and most spend our days in a quiet desperation. What a relief to be able to put it into words so artfully and heartfelt.
