Tim has mentioned a couple of times that he would listen to a song and know that someone else did it,but he would wait sometimes a year or two before recording it. I like his version. but I am a Tim fan anyway.

I agree with many others on this song....Tim does a great job, but the original done be Dave Pahanish is almost haunting....I saw Dave at this little dive bar in Nashville late last year...he was singing this song when i walked in....my GF and I sat and listened to him all night. ...and then i did something i have never done after seeing a live act, i bought 2 of his cds off of itunes. Dave Pahanish (w/West) also wrote "Right Back Atcha", and in my opinion, sang it the best.

Don't know why people are comparing this song with Katy Perry? Unless I've been completely misreading this song, the subject matter is completely different than Katy Perry's version

All the bickering about Katy Perry and Tim McGraw etc...is funny to me since I know the actual creator of this song..LOL. This song has been around since 2001 when it was released on the writer's own CD "Shine". While Tim McGraw has done a great job with it I will always love the original version song by the writer Dave Pahanish. You can listen to Dave sing it here on YouTube as well

This guy is an awesome singer - Thinking it's slightly insulting that people are comparing him to Katy Perry. No offence intended to anyone who likes Katy Perry, she's not a bad singer, but I personally don't rate her at all as a musician. But don't quote me on that, everyone's entitled to their opinions.
