I found my somebody 3 years ago

I was approached by a friendly woman, unknown to me, of course. Friendly and helpful nonetheless. Sweet old lady named Wendy. Wendy said, you looking for somebody. I said, huh what? She said, you in search of a somebody. I said, yeah, ok. I guess so, isn't everybody? Wendy then went on to say, you are compatible with opposites. I said, huh? She then went on again in same manner. You find somebody by seeing opposite of you. I said, ok. How do I know? How would I know? She said, with a slight crocked mouth and laughter, silly boy you see what you look for. I said, I do? She said, uh huh. I said, like what do I look for to see? She said, shaking her head in disbelief, as if you know already. Wendy then, said, you always drive your car in parking space forward. You are compatible with those that pull their cars in parking spaces in reverse or backwards. I said, compatible? She stomped her foot, crocked smile, and groaned, friendly. Wendy then said after friendly groan, love silly boy. Love somebody. I looked down at my shoe lace and when I looked up, she was gone.

I had begun to think of giving up on looking. And then,my grandfather passed away. And a young man had come to help us with the house who knew him, and we got to know each other he had already given up on being with anyone.
