It does crack me up that Scotty is trying to call himself "country" and tries to portray Garner, NC as a small "water town town", but forgets to mention that Garner is a suburb of Raleigh and is in the metropolitan area. It's a lot like how Jason Aldean tries to act like he is "country" but he grew up in Macon, Georgia and he went to a private school. 😂😂

it's kind of funny. I was raised in Illinois's third largest city, Rockford, with 150000 people. I've since gone to college in a town of 10000 at best. it's often called the island in the middle of a sea of corn. the thing is, I may be a city boy, but I love the slower pace and the friendliness of the people in a small town. I walked into this tiny little bookstore here in my college town and the owner's eyes just lit up. she did everything short of hug me for just coming. I didn't even buy anything that time! I did on subsequent visits.
my pastor is on call 24/7. the church doors are always open, and I have no fear walking the streets at night.

Small town livin' is amazing!! Everyone knows everyone, friends are more like family, and you have an amazing support group around you. My water tower town only has about 770 people, and our school graduates about 30 people a year. I sometimes hate it here, but it'll always have a special place in my heart
