McCartney, Paul - Travelling Light Lyrics
I ride on the white wind
High over the sand
I follow the bluebird
I follow the wise
Not asking for more
I follow the white wind
I glide on the green leaf
I swim in the blue sea
I walk on the sand
I fly through the blue sky
To wherever you land
I ride on the white wind
I follow the bluebird
To wherever she lands
I'll be traveling tonight
Oh across the sea
Where she waits, she waits for me
Across the broken sea
From the sea
From the sea
From across the endless sea
I'll be traveling tonight

McCartney, Paul Travelling Light Comments
Macca has truly actualized on the fireman stuff.....
2019
Just a reminder:
Macca played all the instruments in this album. (Mixed by "Youth.")
Even if Macca made only one album in his lifetime, i.e., Electric Arguments, his musical genius would still be secured for eternity. Macca is music.

Mr. R. K. Barrett would like this I think..!!!
Very melodic, love the change near the end with that wonderful slide guitar part.
He's the best! Amazing !Bravo!
so cool, I love it so much!!!!!
I love that ending piece too at 3:35 Just love it.
OH MY GOD!! This is beautiful!
Why am I suprised? It's Paul McCartney of course it's beautiful...and amazing!
I'm surprised that this is my first time hearing this! Oh Paulie please don't ever die!
Good English stile!
Adore this song.
i feel like robin hood trotting through the heather looking for my busky maiden
It's just me, or this song is orgasmic?
Led Zeppelin kind of did though, Sabbath took influence from zep and went in a darker direction. I give props to both of them though and we can call it a group effort on their part lol
Damn this is hot ;)
It would take years to an artist like Peter Gabriel to record a song like this. To Macca it took just one day.
I love that slide guitar. I get shivers when that part comes on. There used to be a video on here that showed Paul playing it, but it got taken down for copyright reasons. :(
I cant believe that this is paul mccartney, the only songs I've heard from the fireman were highway and sing the changes, and they were completely differents from this one,it really doesn't sound like him.He really have never done something like this before
Sound like Paul is getting in touch with his ancestors spirituality. Sounds like he succeeded. Excellent work Paul . Thanks for sharing Piggies 1.
i scratched my head and i finally realized this sounded like sting.
The Beatles influenced Sting.
Such a special song for me. Like a fairytale, someone said. Yes it is.
Beautiful Song!
Beautiful song!..
I think they are.
@nicck sure its overrated, and the beatles are WAY better, but they arent garbage.
It's overrated. I'm pretty sure the reason why that band is so big nowadays is because Kurt killed himself. I much prefer the Smashing Pumpkins.
@nicck Nirvana isnt gabage!
I didn't think you tube was going to post these messages. I have a love hate relationship with the internet. Sometimes it works sometimes not. I hope I am anonymous but now that I have posted a video on you tube I don't think so. Anyway really looking forward to this concert. It's the first one I have been to since age 18. I still need that picture! :)
I am down to 95 lbs and fading fast. I couldn't even eat my fried potato chips at Artscape. I did however get a great picture of a Beatle car. Well whatever it takes. How does one get reincarnated into a bluebird?
Can I get an autograph at least? Maybe a picture? I'm a smitten kitten. I have no shame. Ocd you bethca.
Love and Peace..Debbie
So I am just talking to myself over and over. Ok I get that. When my caller Id displayed our home phone number that was quite clear. This all started two years ago at Imdb and there was going to be a thread "to sir with love" I wish there had been.
This song speaks to me as I'm sure it does million of others. It makes me cry. Why is you tube boycotting me. I understand Imdb and msn but you tube also now?
Why won't this get posted? I am a gnat on the internet and am invisible. Only in my dreams.
This song is both touching and haunting and I wish I were that bluebird. :(
This song is both beautiful and haunting, I wish I were that blackbird.
Dude!!!! I so fucking agree with you!!!
U2, Coldplay, Greenday, Nirvana = garbage.
i absolutely agree, let's not compare styles, it's not possible, let's compare influence they had over modern music instead, The Beatles clearly influence a lot more musicians than led zeppelin and it will always be like that
I´m from SWEDEN, and in Sweden everyone is allowed to an opinion (THE LAND OF THE TRULY FREE AND HOME OF THE REALLY FUCKING BRAVE). I agree with the previous comments, comparing Rock/Pop group the Beatles with the founder of heavy metal (Led Zeppelin) is impossible and just damn silly!
well your the one who told me to keep my opinion to myself
thats right and so can I. hes gotten allot older its not his fault. i don't like country music and thats what his work has become. remember the battle of evermore? thats good music, allot different from what hes doing today and if i don't like it im alloud to have an opinion and not be some narrow minded drone who buys his albums cuz at one point in his life he was good. your telling me my opinion is invalid because its not the same as yours yet you have the nerv to call me ignorant
they were a pop group when they first started out, obviously you've never heard anything off of the white album, abbey road or let it be and robert plant went solo just like paul exept paul is literaly the most succesful musician EVER. thast not exaderation from a fan boy either i prefer john as a solo artist/plastic ono band and no in this case its like comparing lobster to lumpy white dog shit, i think you know who the dog shit is
You do mean Allison right?
im sorry i just dont like country music. i like led zeppelin but robert plant has not impressed me since '76 and paul mccartney is still writing great music so if plant writes something i dont hate il take back what i said. led zeppelin couldn't compare to the beatles in the 60's and they still cant
well in the early days they could have, but in the early days the beatles where a hell of allot better than this, robert plant and allison kraus are fucking terrible, im sorry but they are, and this is the first song i like from paul since the beatles split. i dont like any solo songs from robert plant
led zeppelin couldn't come close to this. especially considering robert plants latest bullshit. they were great in the 70's but this is just amazing
its not a pop song so keep that in mind. the guitar is really gorgeous u had to have heard that? damn
My favorite also!! Love this one...yes...love it.
Uncut too thinks this is the best track, they gave 5 when most other tracks got 4 points. Very interesting stuff!
phenomenal song
I'm not even sure you could call him a composer in the sense that most would call an artist a composer... I can't name a greatest, but I would call Van Dyke Parks, Steve Reich, Philip Glass, Yann Tiersen, Jonny Greenwood, Nico Muhly, etc. great composers of the 20th and 21st before McCartney.
VacuumBoots81 , I call YOU a troll, but don’t dispute these were great artists but Macca has profound genre swooping ranges....
Another one of my favorites off EA I wanna here re-mixes dangit~ lol
you know the Firemanwebby has a deluxe version also which I bought it has a 7 track re-mox of some of these tracks plus alternative versions.. I cannot wait for that woohooo!!!
my favorite love this one!
This is my favorite, Here's to you Paul !
What I've heard of this album so far is very diverse. However many directions Paul has gone in musical styles over the years, this is different and quite lovely. He continues to amaze me all these 44 years.
Well he's Leonard Cohen inni?
You're Welcome!
