McCartney, Paul - Oh Woman, Oh Why Lyrics
Oh woman, oh why, why, why, why
What have I done
Oh woman, oh where, where, where, where, where
Did you get that gun
Oh what have I done
Well I met her at the bottom of a well (of a well)
Well I told here I was tryin' to break a spell (break a spell)
But I can't get by, my hands are tied
don't why I ever got her to try myself
cause I can't get by, my hands are tied
Oh woman, oh why, why, why, why
What have I done
Oh woman, oh where, where, where, where, where
Oh what have you done
Woman what have you done
Well I am fed up with you lying cheating ways (cheating ways)
But I get up every morning and every day (every day)
But I can't get by , my hands are tied
Don't why I want her to try myself
Cause I can't get by, my hands are tied
Oh woman, oh why, why, why, why
What have I done
Oh woman, oh where, where, where, where, where
Did you get that gun
Woman, what have I done
What have you done
What have I done

He is a genius
Y does it show this song as being on 'ram' album?
common sense originally B side to Another Day 1971- later added on remastered Ram
@Gary Sullivan ok thnx..i knew it wasnt on origional ram album
@Gary Sullivan also..brings back memories...another day..was a big hit
Paul at his rocking raw best shades of I’ve gotta feeling- Oh Darling- -Why don’t we do it in the road
Would love for this song and album to be remixed, like Abbey Road! Would prefer that instead of a remaster.

Wow McCartney doing a lennon impression great I could imagine lennon doing this song.
Love it !Shades of the band FREE coming on strong !
Badfinger, isn't it?
I really LOVED this then and this great RAW album all critics, most fans then hated. In later years, album highly regarded,as raw, primitive blues, soul, guitars great. I even have single of this great raw, blues rocker. Many cite this as his BEST solo album as prefer this raw rock, blues style. At the time however, entire album was greatly scorched by critics and fans alike.
Once old guard critics retired like rolling stone Paul hating wenner, and newer ones supplanted them, they re-evaluated all Macca solo and hail this album. Kids now and indie reviewer sites call this a proto indie album and one indie review site gives album five stars, I have read this Macca best selling solo album. Some fans then liked this album but many Beatles fans wanted whole album to be continued Beatles artsy rock with heavy duty rock lyric message rather than raw blues lyrics.
This style and all of his solo stuff was VERY against styles popular in seventies I remember and rolling stone, craw daddy and cream mags wore him out no matter what style of music he did and none ever forgave him for Beatles breakup though all responsibility for breakup but he took final leap.
For me is his best album.as a one whole work i mean.diverse, creative, amazing atmospheres.
@Joy Stinson, Knew they were NUTS then and still think they're NUTS now! This song and the album are ABSOLUTELY GREAT!
Paul it’s ok. I’m coming home
This is Hard McCartney...Happy belated birthday, Sir Paul. Love You Always!!!
You guys think this influenced ac/dc?
I was thinking exactly the same.
Led Zeppelin has nothing on this guy.
Michele Paccione the entire zeppelin catalogue in one song
I. Wouldnt go that far to say nothing...cmon
A strong and fine rock song, that turns me on and that I really love. Not quite sure though, wether it hits the intensity and energy of "Trampled Under Foot".
how are there not more comments on such an amazing song?
Mark most of pauls solo songs dont have many comments but beatles stuff has thousands. Im confused too
Because most r too busy at this date and time listening to pop/country,rap,pop, and crap....not really their fault..i was a young man when it came out (am radio lol)..and even then there was so much good music...real music to listen to...just sayin'.....
Great song 👍
