This song was on my CW Mccall Greatest Hits album, which I got when I was 10 because I liked the song "Convoy". I loved this song and I felt so bad for the little boy because I loved my mom so much and couldn't imagine what I'd do without her. It makes me cry even today 40 years later now that my mom is gone.

Love your mom no matter what love your mom I had to learn the hard way about my come because she was diagnosed with dementia became very sick as a series of strokes you never know when you're going to get the infamous call saying your mom has passed away my mom is going to a long-term care facility I only wish I could have done more

The word "hilarious" is written as a distraction because they are too embarrassed to admit that it kicks off their waterworks as it does to most of us. This song makes me cry and I'm a big 250 pound man! Top that!

Hilariously depressing my butt. I lost my mom to COPD and Congestive Heart failure. This still tears me up. Another one that will get to you is "I'm Gonna Get There Someday" by Dierks Bentley

The first time I heard this song I was riding in the car with my Dad and this song came on. It just happened to be my Grandmothers birthday, she had just past away not long before. I never saw my Dad cry before that. So Peta Waller-Bryant I hope you go straight to hell.

Cancer took my Mother on Jan 2, 2004 in Fulton, Illinois. I live East of Cincinnati couldn't go back for her funeral as my youngest Sister warned me a bad snow storm was coming through there.

It may or may not be a well sung song. But the meaning is so poinent. My Mama died 55 years ago from that day on I could not kiss her or give her a kiss and some roses.
We all should remember you only have one mama and you will only miss her when shes gone. Life is so so short a kiss and a rose would make your mama happy. I am from Englad.

This song is way too sintimental and glurgy. Yet every time I hear it I get tears in my eyes. I still have my mom, she's almost 86, and it makes me think of when I won't have her anymore.

I lost my mama in 1987 cancer.! I know they got a cure I lost my mother for no reason. The love of my life. Such a saint in a good woman.! Lost my father 15 years later. No matter how old you get you will always miss your parents mom and dad or Mommy and Daddy no matter what. May they all rest in peace.!

I lost dad in2013&lost money.2014it heart me more then ever I cry on my birthday for mom she always says happy birthday too me but now she is up in heaven and take care of dad I wish I can see them more than everyone so now staying with my aunt and uncle that will take of me

this song was one of my moms favorit songs but she is dead now she died when I was in my 20's

my mom just passed away December 12th, 2016 this song reminds me of her so much I so wish heaven had a phone to hear her voice.

There is a bigger lesson here in this song... A few weeks later when they found that kid dead in a ditch, 'ol CW found himself in a heap of trouble. Never use your own credit card to purchase flowers for a kid you intend on murdering.

She had Congested Heart Failure & died in a Diabetic Coma .. I'm Sorry that u lost ur mom too , that's Sad about the way she past too 💔😢. Both of our moms are resting in Peace now , I wouldn't want to bring my mama back into this ole Cruel stuff what's going on or in her Health . Praying for you in JESUS name 😇🙌💖

I preached the service at my Mom's funeral and I thought of this song. This was March 2010 and I have loved this song since it was played in 1978.

have always loved this song, who ever records it and it always brings tears to my eyes.  My father passed away in '96' with alzheimers and I lost my Mom in 2007 from a stroke and heart disease. I miss and think of them everyday. whether they agreed with my choices or not, they were always there for me and I'm thankful for all the memories we made!

OMG...now i'm all verklempt...talk amongst yourselves...Seriously, i lost bothe of my parents back in '99, within a few months of each other, and i still miss them to this day...tho i'm pleased 2 say that we finished all our unfinished business and had closure with one another before they passed...but that doesn't make me miss them any less.
