When I was a young teen back in the mid 90’s, I heard a song on the radio that caught my attention. This was before any technology existed. We had no internet or smart phones. No apps. This was back in a time when I would buy a CD at Tower Records with my paper route money only because I liked one song on an album. Back to that song on the radio…it was an alternative rock song. I had no idea which band it was. The only lyrics I could remember was “Be my Angel”. So I’m at the local Tower Records music store looking at the back of as many CDs as I can to see the list of songs and got to a Mazzy Star CD with a song called “Be my Angel”. I got excited and went straight to the counter to buy it. I get home and popped it into my CD player boom box and it wasn’t even close to the same song on the radio. The strange thing is, I’m so glad I made this mistake because that Mazzy Star cd is one of my favorite albums of all time. I fell in love with their sound and that soothing voice. Later I found out that the song on the radio was Possum Kingdom by the Toadies.

The internet has been around since the 1940s,blogs, file sharing really began in 1970s. The world wide web is a 90s kinda thing
