Wow, how much does that starting riff sound like the main riff to the old Death demo classic 'Corpse Grinder'. And listen to that classic Boss HM-2 driven death metal heaviness in the guitars. The only other black metal band that sounded this heavy was early Bathory (which the vocals here remind a lot of) ... so what a shame that this guitar sound was not adopted by most of the later generation 'black metal' bands, who instead all go for this weak treble based sound. Then again at the time of this material it was not even called black metal, it was all called death metal. True cult \m/
