I've listened to this song a thousand times, loved John's music for years. I saw him play over 20 something years ago at a book store with his bass player on the north side close to my old home in Broad ripple. My pal Brad said you want to go see John Meyer tonight, we have to leave now, l love him, l think he is gay. Do you think he is gay? What do u pick up with your physic abilities? I said l don't he is gay Brad, sorry to disappoint you. He said maybe we shouldn't go. I said you know l could be wrong he might be gay. Brad's gay. Lol So l got to go see ungay John play live up close and he was fantastic. He is one of my favorite musicians and he is extremely good looking. I can't Waite to hear his new CD. Love the clef in his chin.

One of the greatest live sets of all time... John Mayer is one of the most amazing and talented guitarist and musicians of this day and age.... him and his band are perfect together!!! Still listening in 2019 and not stopping anytime soon

It's been over 10 years since this concert. It still awes me how perfect his voice, guitar and the entire band sounds. I'm so fucking glad they recorded this concert so well. The people filming, recording and editing this probably didn't realise it then but they left behind such a lovely gift for humanity.
Mayer will always be my biggest inspiration and I can't wait to open for him when he gets to India :)
Maybe drop my channel and see if I make the cut. Good day ya'll

My best guess is that this was the director's (Danny Clinch) idea. That stage looks pretty bland and sterile, so having the band on those rugs made for better compositions when framing shots.
