This is exactly what it felt like going to college in Oregon after growing up in SoCal. I adore my school and the state is gorgeous, but there's just something lost inside in that step of leaving home for the first time. Seasonal depression also hits pretty hard.

Final thoughts after a first listen through the album:
- This album, more than any individual album before, showcased their diversity really well. so many tempos, music styles, etc.
- That being said, the first couple songs, IMO, are kind of weak. Super regressive in sound instead of evolutionary (sounds way to much like ABH to me, which is my least favorite MP album by far)
- I really loved the sound/direction of BL, and I'm really glad they kept/evolved on that for several songs, while mixing it with old sounds.

overall as a blind listen with no super-in depth analyses, I would give this is a first impression rating of 7.75/10. They've really matured and you can hear it in both the music and lyrics. While there's a couple weak songs in the front half, this is definitely getting added to my rotation
