Matt Maher - The End And The Beginning Lyrics

Transubstantiation
Heaven kisses earth
We become a living tabernacle

So wisdom, be attentive
Steady my shaken mind
Let this be my reality
More than just bread and wine

This is the end and the beginning
This is the eighth day of creation
One with the saints and angels
In our song of thanksgiving

Revelation
History shows the love
Of the ancient Father
For His one and only Son

Jesus, I am not worthy
I am a broken man
But only say the word
And I shall be healed again

This is the end and the beginning
This is the eighth day of creation
One with the saints and angels
In our song of thanksgiving

Holy is the Lamb
Holy is the Lamb

This is the end and the beginning
This is the eighth day of creation
One with the saints and angels
In our song of thanksgiving

Matt Maher The End And The Beginning Comments
  1. F.... M....

I love this song! During the road on Emmaus, the two men only came to believe Jesus once they ate with him. Luke 24: 13-33.

  2. S.... S....

Thank you for coming out of the heresy closet Matt with this song. I didn't know you were part of the Church of Satan! I will let everyone know you are a deceiver.

    S.... S....

Oh Sidney. How sad that you are separated from the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Matt is not a deceived but a speaker of the truth.

    S.... S....

May I ask? When is the last time you even read your Bible, much less obeyed it. When have you learned what Jesus said and not the Church of Lucifer that is filled with idolatry and abominations against God with the intent to destroy the Church from within.
God is a spirit and them that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, not in relics, slatues and corruption from the Catholic Church. You are crucifying the Son of God afresh and holding Him up to shame. Do you read the Bible? No you don't!
*"And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me." (Luke **22:19**)* It doesn't say do this and I will appear unto you by your doing it. That is heresy.
\Jesus is no longer on the cross. They buried Him and on the third day He rose from the grave and He is alive, and is no longer hanging on the cross. You are crucifying the Son of God afresh, putting Him to an open shame and dying His resurrection.
You are not worship Jesus, but Belial and demons. You are an unbeliever in Jesus, an under cover atheist, denying His Word. REPENT!!!! *"14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? [hello! your Synagogue of Satan you call the Catholic Church is filled with idols] for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 17 WHEREFORE COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." (2 Corinthians **6:14**-18)*
God will never receive you as long as you remain the the Synagogue of Satan you call the Catholic Church filled with idols which according to this passage proves the Catholic Church is not the temple of God.
REPENT And come out from among them, then, and only then will the living God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ will receive you as His daughter. Until then, you remain a bastard, and a child of the devil. God is not a man, that He would lie. Let God be true and every man, especially the end time false prophet your Pope you call you father. You are of your father, the devil!
    REPENT!!!!!!!!!!!!

    John 6: 30-66: So
they said to him, "Then what sign do you do, that we may see, and
believe you? What work do you perform?  Our fathers ate the manna in the
wilderness; as it is written, `He gave them bread from heaven to
eat.'"  Jesus then said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not
Moses who gave you the bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true
bread from heaven.  For the bread of God is that which comes down from
heaven, and gives life to the world." They said to him, "Lord, give us
    this bread always."  Jesus said to them, "I AM the bread of life;
he who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall
never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not
believe. All that the Father gives me will come to me; and him who comes
to me I will not cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do
my own will, but the will of him who sent me; and this is the will of
him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me,
but raise it up at the last day. For this is the will of my Father,
that every one who sees the Son and believes in him should have eternal
life; and I will raise him up at the last day." The Jews then murmured
at him, because he said, "I am the bread which came down from heaven."
They said, "Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and
mother we know? How does he now say, `I have come down from heaven'?"
Jesus answered them, "Do not murmur among yourselves. No one can come to
me unless the Father who sent me draws him; and I will raise him up at
the last day. It is written in the prophets, `And they shall all be
taught by God.' Every one who has heard and learned from the Father
comes to me. Not that any one has seen the Father except him who is from
God; he has seen the Father. Truly, truly, I say to you, he who
believes has eternal life. I AM the bread of life.
Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is
the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat of it and not
die. I AM the living bread which came down from
heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the
bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh." The Jews
then disputed among themselves, saying, "How can this man give us
his flesh to eat?" So Jesus said to them, "Truly,
truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and
drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and
drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last
day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who
eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the
living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats
me will live because of me. This is the bread which came down from
heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread
will live for ever." This he said in the synagogue, as he taught
at Capernaum. Many of his disciples, when they heard it, said, "This is a
hard saying; who can listen to it?" But Jesus, knowing in himself that
his disciples murmured at it, said to them, "Do you take offense at
this? Then what if you were to see the Son of man ascending where he was
before? It is the spirit that gives life, the flesh is of no avail; the
words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. But there are some
of you that do not believe." For Jesus knew from the first who those
were that did not believe, and who it was that would betray him. And he
said, "This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is
granted him by the Father." After this many of his disciples drew back
and no longer went about with him.

This song has much time ago. But Matt isn't a deceiver because he've always said that he's catholic, in fact his friend Chris Toumlin knows that, and they have no problem and don't have to. To be catholic is amaizing, I don't know where comes your hatred. But Matt isn't deceiver, please!!!!!!

    S.... S....

For me, to get around anachronisms and all that, the truth teller is what did the apostles who lived with Jesus teach the next generation about how to worship. Even a simple review of Church fathers demonstrates an early Christian belief in the Real Presence. The Romans even slandered early Christians as cannibals. So, sorry Protestants, but I think you got this one wrong.

  3. J.... V....

The pinnacle of Matt Maher's work. Just as the Eucharist is the pinnacle of our Faith.

  4. B.... D....

    Mt 19:16-30

  5. j.... ....

@AthosAmo You may be interested the various visions of Infant & Mother that have appeared to people & been depicted in art over the centuries. As Paul said, "I become all things to all men," in these visions, Jesus typically appears in the ethnicity of those to whom He is appearing. Chinese, African, Aztec... Yes, He chose to be middle Eastern for His 33 years on this earth - but Christ seems not to have limited Himself this way for eternity. After all, He is not any of these ethnicities.

    j.... ....

Isn't it amazing that He is biologically related to every one of us?

  6. j.... ....

    Praying for Fr. Dale.

  7. A.... ....

@Blessings78 Then you should not complain if someone depicts Jesus as a bearded lady.

  8. B.... ....

@AthosAmo I am a Christian, and I think what matters is WHO Christ is and WHAT he Represents. Color, language, looks, etc are not as important as HIS MISSION. Let's not focus so much on the exteriors that we miss the interior...In HIS LIKENESS we are all made. So does it matter how he looks like? I don't think so.

  9. A.... ....

@Blessings78 You're right. What does it matter that whole swaths of mankind think they are a race they are not?

Now, if you're a Christian, you should care if someone misrepresents Christ, in any way.

  10. B.... ....

    @AthosAmo So WHO CARES??!!!!

  11. A.... ....

Jesus didn't have long hair like a woman. Jesus had a full beard. Jesus was not Caucasian.

    A.... ....

    When did you meet Jesus?

  12. F.... ....

    @refreshing29
    What'd he do?

  13. M.... ....

@refreshing29 ; @Humble743 : That is too bad about the priest whom I heard about in the Catholic news but I didn't realize there was a connection with this great song by Maher. It still is an amazing song though about Our Lord and the faith. A remake would be a good idea.

  14. H.... ....

@Mistletoe143 The person talking in the video is Fr. Dale Fushek. He was the pastor at the church where Matt Maher was at the time he wrote this song. He is not longer the pastor there. The church is located in Mesa, Arizona.

  15. M.... ....

    @chris123usa

I'm not certain on this, but I believe the person talking in the song was a speaker at Youth Day that took place in Canada 2002. Glad you enjoy the song!

  16. c.... ....

What a great song! Who is it talking at the beginning?

  17. c.... ....

Thanks be to God that he inspired Mr. Maher to write this song! I've had it stuck in my head almost all of Easter and up to this day. Praise the Lord!
