As far as all the people who want to say Matisyahu is a sell out and they "used to love" his music but now it sucks, or hate his change from traditional Hassidic to whatever he is now, what do you expect from him? Would you rather he made the exact same music, kept the exact same beliefs, and never grew as a person at all? Musicians age and grow the same way the rest of us are supposed to. If anything his message and music seems more sincere and unique now. Of course he doesn't look or sound the same, he's lived a crazy and unpredictable life, but he's still brilliant, still beautiful, still gives a shit to produce music with a message of profound spirituality, and still bears his soul for the world to do with it what they will. He's amazing, was then, still is. I just hope he continues to evolve and spread his work to all who will hear and appreciate. Peace and love Matisyahu, your light shines strong and bright, and is a beautiful sight to see.
