I was six years old when the "Faithfully" album was introduced to my household.. by my mom. singing along with Johnny in her beautiful contralto voice. An astonishing brilliant follow-up to the transcendent "Heavenly" album.. again, pairing Johnny with the amazing arrangements of Glenn Osser... this song (and album) transported me into the truth of what music COULD be. My life has always been richer because I heard it. Leroy Jackson Burgess.

Haven't heard Blue Gardenia is sooooo long.  I have the old album Faithfully.  It was my mother's. I have over 50 albums of Johnny in my collection.  Wish  could get some of the real oldies on CD.  Especially Live in Las Vegas.  Such a wonderful singer. 

The most romantic singer of all time IMHO.

It was my pleasure to have lived this song when this album came out...I snatched up every album he made.  I have sung this song for years.  It so reminds me of all the loves of my life and particularly the one I had while listening to this song by the master JM.  always pressed in my book of memories...

My favorite rendition of this song! Thank you for posting. I have this LP, but I wish this selection was available in MP3 on Amazon. I think I will buy the CD. Johnny's was also my favorite rendition of "Small World" from the Sondheim musical GYPSY.
