One of the best Mastodon songs

It's a hard one to choose, but if someone put a gun to my head I think I'd say this is their best album for me. I love where they'd been before, and where they've been since. I'll just have to echo some of the other comments here, we have to appreciate any band which keeps on evolving. Which Mastodon do, and they hit far more often than they miss.

Really important band in the metal world, perhaps a case study of modern metal in their own right. Certainly prog metal, and even more-so given their more sludgy roots. Every album is a fresh piece of art, and you can see how they've grown as the musicians and artists they are.

Mastodon is amazing. All their music is a work of art. Paints a wondrous and mystical picture, a new world if you will, with those melodies. Mastodon has transcended past the rest.

I do not know why but this piece always reminds me of "The Ring" movie and Samara Morgan. Mastodon masterpiece!
