Massive Attack - Group Four Lyrics
[3d]
A flask I drink of sober tea
While relay cameras monitor me
And the buzz surrounds it does
Buzz surrounds
[Liz Fraser]
Closed eyed sky wide open
Unlimited girl unlimited sigh
Elsewhere
Indefinitely
Far away
Magnifies and deepens
My sixth sense peacefully placed on my breath
And listening
[3d]
Keeps me from my hurt
[Liz Fraser]
My ears know that my eyes are closed
[3d]
Perish thoughs like contraband
I train myself in martial arts
As advertised
I reinforce my softened parts
As advertised
[Liz Fraser]
See through me little glazed lane
A world in myself
Ready to sing
My sixth sense peacefully placed on my breath
[3d]
Flickering I roam
[Liz Fraser]
And listening
My ears know that my eyes are closed
Ready to sing
My sixth sense peacefully placed on my breath
[3d]
Flickering I roam
[Liz Fraser]
And listening
My ears know that my eyes are closed
[3d]
I see to bolts
Put keys to locks
No boat are rocked
I'm free to roam
On dummy screens
And magazines
[Liz Fraser]
Closed eyed sky wide open
Unlimited girl unlimited sigh
[3d]
To think that I lay next to you
Wasting time when I could do
A simple job in strip lights
A flask I drink a sober tea
'Till daylight sends me home
Flickering I roam
[Liz Fraser]
Daydreaming admiring being
Quietly, open the world
I hear the time of the starry sky
Turning over at midnight
Seen through me little glazed lane
A world in myself
Daydreaming admiring being
Quietly, open the world
I hear the time of the starry sky
Turning over at midnight

The coda is the cherry on top of a monster head and body trip.
Such an exhilarating finale to the 2nd night at the hanger. The buzz as this track hit its peak. Phenomenal Gig 🖤
Much better live.
This song starts off sneaking around the palace, and ends by burning it down.
cuando me ponia a jugar Vagrant Story en el 2003, ponia de fondo musical esta maravilla
Perfect
Thank you for supporting HK! come here to enjoy this music <3
If I were a drug
omg I let the coffee boil and... It gave me the chills nat the end
This song is like a metaphor for sex.
It starts slow, lovingly caressing.
Then the penetration begins.
Then theres the heated, rhythmic action.
Then the final orgasm.
I've always thought of this song this way, and it inevitably always conjures up x-rated imagery in my mind.
haha, yep... it's sexy and sensual song
Yup, pretty much the musical equivalent of sex
... which makes it even funnier because the actual song meaning is a lot less deep, its just about a security guard on a night shift
@Karmacoma why is it named group 4?
@isobel64 its the name of a security company in england
Group would be so much better if 3d wasnt such a little cliche edgy douche type writer. Dude tries to hard
Hes that emo kid at the back of the class. Probably the main reason for massive attacks downfall
why is this banned in the uk
It's not banned you've probably got shite internet
wtf is this ? Back to Suga Free
Se ponen de pinga esta' gente'! The best.
Reminds me of the Half Life 2 ost, heavily
When the guitar, at the end, comes in, I saw this live and whoa, it was black metal as f**k, the end of the song concentrates on that one final riff and I can tell you, live, this is pretty amazing.
i have no doubts about that. this group would be amazing to see live, with their unique sounds.
Wow a black metal comment on a Massive Attack video.
This is such a sinister song.
Heard this live recently-mesmeric, dark and beautiful.
I drink, smoke salvia, And I like this music very much, because it is finnaly something else then the regular bullshit. theovolente@gmail,com appreciates this music very much. Thanks Theodore.
In thinking about how music meshes with our experiences while alone and on the job, I've found that this song embodies my many experiences coming up short on the firewatch roster, and standing post late in the evening here in the Marine Corps. It always makes me think about those ghostly, ethereal haunts I've undertaken in my line of duty.. half awake, half asleep. Half alive, half dead. Particularly the lyric "Til daylight sends me home... flickering, I roam". The song itself appears to be about a lone security guard, making his rounds and performing his monotonous nightly ritual, like a wraith caught in some sort of limbo.. which captivates me greatly.
Well I’m glad someone isn’t afraid of expression... I’ll join you one day tho;
Beautifully spoken!
Damn I thought I was the only Marine into this good stuff. Nice!
I am doing my military service now and I know exactly what you are talking about

Damn, that last two minutes of the song REALLY jazz it up... such a great album
One if the greatest tracks ever written. By one of the greatest groups to make music. Ever. This song is Fuckin god.
