Mary has done this song proud. I absolutely love her version of this, and it is ten times better than Diana King's 1995 version (which was too slow until they remixed it to death).  Mary has a fantastic voice too. I bet Chaka Khan loves this version too.

I was never a big fan of Mary...I mean her music was ok, I'd listen to it. But 2008 when I heard Just Fine, she turned my world UPSIDE DOWN! I bought her cd at that time and listened to it from BEGINNING TO END, no skip, no forward. INSTANT GOLD to my ears! Now, I follow her EVERY new release! I even went backwards and got her old stuff and listened with a new set of ears. Her music is soulful, rhythmic and such a great part of my life now! HUGS AND LOVE MARY!

Just saw MJB perform this at The White Party in Palm Springs. Totally Toally killer. Her drummer was crazy crazy crazy DOPE! Energy was off the hook. I do love Chaka. No one is better than Chaka Khan. But MJB was right on time in PS. LOVED IT.

@rooinekdoktor1963 You really have to follow Mary and her journey actually feel her music. If you did, you could really understand her voice and everything that she does in music. Not trying to start an argument, but just saying You should look up her old music to now because you would be much more updated on whats going on.

Does it sound like CHAKA KHAN, reallly?

I love the original, I love Mary J, not crazy about the "techno" sounding beat, but all in all, I can get wit it.

I am not really that familiar with this "artist," and cannot understand the fascination. She lisps and has no range, which is why she ad libs in a lower range whereas Kelly Price would tear this apart. You could probably find better at karaoke night at your neighborhood bar. Not impressed at all.
