Marty Robbins - Half As Much Lyrics

If you loved me half as much as I love you
You wouldn't worry me half as much as you do
You're nice to me when there's no one else around
You only build me up to let me down

If you missed me half as much as I miss you
You wouldn't stay away half as much as you do
I know that I could never be this blue
If you only loved me half as much as I love you

I know that I could never be this blue
If you only loved me half as much as I love you

This man can sing anything. It's an oldie but a goldie. Love, love Marty Robins. there will never be another singer like him.Left us way to soon.

I would have liked to hear Marty sing with Jo Stafford or Patti Page and Doris Day if possible as well as Rosie!
Shame he never really sang duets with any female singer apart from a couple of sides with Jeanne Pruett. If you think of it, nearly every top country singer of his day had a female sidekick. A chance missed by Marty methinks.

  12. D.... G....

Imagine... if Marty and Rosemary Clooney had sung this in duet! Double awesomness.

Haven't heard this for DECADES -- it popped me back to EXACTLY where I was, what I was doing, and who first sang this for me, when I was much too young to understand it, but was nevertheless so intrigued by the sadness that I begged to hear it over and over so that I could learn the words.
