This was a strange period in my life..and I'm still kinda lost, maybe someone can help me. I remember hearing this song while trick or treating with my mother, father and sister on Halsey St in Brooklyn NY. The confusion comes in because in 1967..my family moved to Fayetteville NC to start a church.. In 64 I was 4yrs old, but one of the milestones that keeps that year fresh in my memory, was losing my mother's first cousin, and watching her spiral down into depression (Sam Cooke )..So....could the song have been on the radio in 64..I always meant to ask my mother but she, my father and sister are gone...Thanks for your help..

There is a cartoon series on Netflix now called Motown Magic and one of the episodes has Jimmy Mack in it. My four year grandson loves to sing this over and over and his siblings will start dancing with him. My wife and I love to watch their performance.
