Mars Volta, The - Zed And Two Naughts Lyrics
I'm not breathing any better
Mallets crack with every grin
I hear the scraping plea of branches
Against my broken window
I won't let you in
The silhouette holds me under
Can't poke me with these pins
Flotsam drip of nectar
Nexus bean sprouting
When she says
Don't go wandering
With noone left to save
Cause noone's at the wheel
Saint Christopher
Antidote claps with thunder
From a gash of staple rain
This bed will never rest you
The answers in the sermons
I won't let you in
The stoking fits the crowning
A wasted gust of kin
Repulsion turns to nectar
When the pigment leaves the body
When she says
Saint Christopher
Don't go wandering
With noone left to save
Cause noone's at the wheel
Saint Christopher
Lastborn prey and firstborn caught
Crawling like an animal
Hold your breath its feeding time
In this zed and two naughts
Painted a fulcrum of caves
Piled with dreams of
Phantom masses made of pastures
Labyrinths turning, cystic maze
I've been hanging wreaths of cancer
On every door where children sing
Watch it all blister
Saint Christopher
Don't go wandering
With noone left to save
Cause noone's at the wheel
Saint Christopher

MLB 12 the show brought me here for some nostalgia
May sound strange, but this is my favorite song for lifting. I warm up and stepped to the bar during the first verse. When the chorus hits, I hit the lift as hard as possible through the second chorus
That's awesome!

This song makes me cry in a very profound way.
Why?
Not being rude just curious
@black john It's emotional and beautiful, it's like giving tribute to a dead loved one, dude. You don't see it that way, but I do.
@Jeff case no judgement brother. I don't interpret it that way but im gonna listen again ro see if i can hear what you hear.
I gotta be honest. I don't listen to this album nearly as much as the first 3
@black john For me it takes a few times listening to a song for the sweet spot to be found, even music I wasn't much into became amazing after a few times listening to them again. It's an amazing experience when it happens.
@Jeff case agreed. I wasn't knocking the song. I just didn't hear what you hear is all.
But yes I love that moment when the music gets down in your soul.
This song is about the gangs of latin america.... In america?
...Shit!
There is so much Chango and Aggayu energy in this music
The band's final song...
Menami GT i agree
they will return. atdi came back and made a new album. tmv will also.
It honestly makes this already perfect song even better it being the last one, it seems that the music represents the sum of the experiences from start to finish, the hardships of the past to the progression of today and the forward march of a better future, you've grown emotionally to finally cut your losses that traumatized you and too look back with not tears of sorrow, but tears of joy that you've progressed so far from the bad times, and to prosper for a better future for what you've learned through this experience.
@Jeff case Damn, breh..
@Taylor Wimsey Heart and soul homeboy, heart and soul...
Feel like Cedric was talking to me with this.
