...yo creo que aqui Omar usa un pedal Memory boy en el inicio y corta el circuito despues a un tono de lirica aun en Delay, es genial escuchar esto, el manejo de los efectos de Omar es muy preciso, genio!

Cedric is way too good of a songwriter! This song is amazing. At first I was mad because the album doesn't have the amazing flow of their first records just pure musically speaking.. its not as grandiose as those ones musically. Its not as experimental. This is more pop and stuff which upset me but.. The songs are very well written even though they sound different now

This song broke me into bringing it up there with albums like Bedlam and Amputecture. I was sitting there, 25 years old. Had a newborn just chilling there on a quilt on the floor breaking the Noctourniquet vinyl in and the echoes before the last chorus drove me to tears. This song still haunts me to this day. The girl on the floor is 5 years old now and I was driving her home to this album tonight, it blew her mind taking note of the "fuzzy sounding" first track.

A few months after it came out, I had it for a while too. So yes? I was driving from my dad's who was dying and has passed since and had this album on.

Noctourniquet does a lot of the same things Octahedron did, but even better in my opinion; even so, some of the songs on the album sound like their older stuff. Molochwalk even sounds like pre-DatC stuff.

I haven't heard this whole album, but I'm really glad that The Mars Volta is finally starting to cut through the excessive amounts of non music that occurs during their albums. I understand a lot of it was mood building, but by the second or third listen through Frances the Mute it just started to get a bit pretentious sounding.
