Just moved on from a girl that graduated and that I really liked and she liked me back. I realized this decision was the best for me, though it ended in tears, I decided to let go and move on with my life. I really do know it hurts, but it’s like holding on to a door handle that is slowly being heated up, the longer you hold on to it, the more it hurts you, but when you let go, the scar remains, but fades and is forgotten. For anyone in the same situation, just move on, there are literally millions of girls just like her In the world, though she may pop by in your head once in a while, you will stay focused on other people and girls. And hey, if you finally do want to go meet that girl you were so infatuated with, go for it, but do it when the time is right, and your mind is more abundant and not scarce on her.

So there's this guy..he is one grade older than me. This is my first high school relationship... and when I first thought him I thought I liked him but it turned out to just be infatuation.... but he doesn't know that... in fact he is very much in love with me and he thinks I feel the same way... because I even said I love you when I didn't mean it. This is all very much overwhelming and I feel like a terrible person and all I know is that it would be best for this relationship to end. But he says things like 'ill love u forever' and ' I know you'll never hurt me ur too perfect'..... and now I know if I tell him I don't really have feelings for him it'll just destroy him and he'll resent me... so i thought to save him some pain and heartache id just tell him that we can't be together because my parents wont allow it...I think this is good because it's believable and I know I should tell him the truth I just couldn't bring myself to do it....I am just miserable

You should tell him because telling him that your parents won't allow it still means that there's hope. Whether you know it or not, because of that hope, you'll still be in his heart.

Infatuation is an unhealthy liking for something or someone. It is when someone cannot stop thinking about that person or thing, they become withdrawn, moody and anxious. The only way to describe infatuation is like loving someone so much you want to be them, want to live like them. Sometimes you find people refer to stalkers as infatuated.

there are different kinds of infatuation though and degrees. Some more healthy than others. The infatuation people might have for an attractive celebrity is infatuation without recognising the flaws. From afar that is OK to some degree and initially it's OK because it's how people get together. Infatuation despite seeing the flaw. When you see flaws and remain infatuated then it really depends on what those flaws are and what your actions are as a result

What I' trying to get at is when people only know the new songs and say they're maroon 5's biggest fans. It's great that you enjoy them and found their older songs, but when people argue with you over a band you've known a lot longer it gets frustrating. I don't mean to offend you in anyway.

Actually many others found about Maroon 5 by the great hit (ode) "Moves like jagger" so it's fair to say they are big fans of them, I heard "this love" but didn't know who play it, until "moves like jagger" came and I got childhood songs again.XD
