It's not weird at all. Time is such an abstract thing that humans have tried to make concrete via clocks, calenders etc. But in reality, time doesn't have a beginning or end : "we're on a ride that never stops". It isn't about how stupid humanity is (sounds harsh), but how we aren't able to understand or trust. We're missing unity. "What type of creature is man" without unity? If you look at nature you realize how unified it is, so why can't we be like the tree, the dog, or the dragonfly?
