Marley, Bob - Pass It On Lyrics
What your hands do,
It's your own eyes that've seen.
So won't you judge your actions
To make sure the results are clean?
That is gonna remind you
That it's your heart and nobody else's
That is gonna judge.
Be not selfish in your doings:
Pass it on. (Pass it on, children)
Help your brothers (help them) in their needs:
Pass it on.
Live for yourself and you will live in vain;
In the kingdom of Jah,
Man shall reign.
Pass it on;
Pass it on;
Pass it on;
Pass it on.
What's in the darkness
Must be revealed to light.
We're not here to judge what's good from bad
But to do the things that are right.
On a hot, sunny day,
Follow the shadows for rescue.
But as the day grows old,
I know the sun is gonna find you.
Be not selfish in your doings:
Pass it on.
Help your brothers in their needs:
Pass it on.
Live for yourself, you will live in vain;
Live for others, you will live again.
In the kingdom of Jah,
Man shall reign.
Pass it on;
Pass it on;
Pass it on;
Pass it on. (Pass it on)

Www. Com. One. Love
TENDAI MWARI (Be thankful unto The Creator)
This is a tremendous song written by a blessed soul, that of our dear Sister Judy Mowatt, in my humble opinion, our most profound female reggae artist. This superbly written song is complemented by the angelic tones of the great Bro. Bunny Wailer (a giant of reggae music).We need to return to the values espoused in this great work. TENDAI MWARI
Like a prayer
One of my all time favourites....excellent....The Wailers as they were together as 1...very hymn stlye...make you sway..make you pray....love...peace...prosperity
Bunny Wailer
this is the best
This is the Wailers. The Original and Founding Wailers: Bunny, Peter, and Bob. Bob Marley and the Wailers is a whole different group.
Exactly!

Not as popular but certainly one of the Best songs.
Chris Blackwell had a lot to do with the wailers separating , sorta commercialising the message . Bob was interested in the message not commerce , so Blackwell sorta help broadcast the message . pass it one , one love .
meant to be British naval officer , my bad ., pass it on , who the cap fits .
Bro Bob never cracked the whip , he was two blood , his dad a brush naval officer ,his mum full Jamaica , so bobs question as a two blood was , why do my fathers people treat my mothers people like shit , what a question which only two blood ask . hard question , hard answers , hence his fire . love Bob love , pass it on .

Thank you :)
When it's one voice, it's Bunny Wailer. Just compare the voice with Bunny's solo albums.

uma das mais poderosas orações que eu ja ouvi , com certeza é uma conexao intensa com Deus , faça como eu. escute todas as manhãs .
it is the most powerful prayer that i heard, for sure it is a conexion with god, do like me . listen it every morning.
thats a great song
The history of jamaican music is full of artists being ripped off and not credited for their works. That is why it is important in this time to give credit where credit is due. Respect to all the Bob Marley fans bigging up bob in these comments. I would like to comment that-- This is the wailers and before it was the "Bob Marley and the Wailers" It was just the Wailers, Both Bunny and Peter would sing lead on their songs. This is BUNNY WAILER singing lead here. Also the composer. Respect is due.
Tablesaw respect brother ✊🏾
In my collection I have all songs/versions recorded before 1974 as just "The Wailers" as artist. It was indeed a three-headed monster. And I'm a big Bob fan.
Totally agree. And I believe the true wailers fans understand this.... It's just a shape it did not continue for 50 years...
It was "The Wailing Wailers".
No wonder I dont dig it. Cant blame this one on Bob. Thanks for clearing his name.
Beautiful beginning
master
:'( beautiful song!
You're not here to judge what's good from bad, but to do the things that are right.
A song that We can use as a prayer every morning before we start our day. For us to be reminded that We are living for others and be thankful on the life that was given to us by our savior. Jah bless us! #NiceMorning #JahMorning

Beautiful song, beauitiful man.
Love you, Bob!
Thank you for EVERYTHING!
Nina513 This is the other boys..no Bob here
Burnin heavy album
+broken1394 I had this on tape, played it and my Filipino mom was like, "Ooh what's that, that sounds nice" (referring to "Put it On")
Bob was not an easy going Rastafarian especially where his band and money were concerned.Bob cracked the whip when it came to practices and gigs.That's why Peter and Bunny left.
lolno. They left after it was "bob marley" and the wailers for a time too long. They were living in his shadow.
And if you do a bit of research, you'll see Rasta's are not especially 'easy going'.
+Cold Duck Link or article? I'd like to read, thanks!
this is what it's all about..help your brothers in their needs..
Music composed and written by Judy Mowat using the alias Jean Watt, and performed by Bunny Wailer.
Yes! I agree! But The "Wailers" later become known as "Bob Marley and the Wailers." the lead singer might be Bunny Wailer but the group is known as the "Wailers" that evolved to be known as "Bob Marley and the Wailers." The "Wailers" then became defunct. The lead singer might be Bunny Wailer and he probably did not write the song but song the lead. I stand to be corrected.
he didn't want to leave Jamaica to tour. that's why he left.
pure Rasta gospel.
Who are the Wailers?
THe first time i heard this, my dad played it for me!
The ultimate truth (of life and death) has been revealed.
Check it FOR YOURSELF: go to truthcontest ((.)) com and read >The Present<
Everyone must see this. The knowledge in this book will turn this world into the peaceful place Bob Wanted, it to be if it reaches enough people.
PASS IT ON.
Before there was "pay if forward," there was "pass it on."
Of course it matters. The uploader of this clip has mislabeled the artist performing the song, and, in addition, may easily mislead folks only loosely familiar with reggae artists to think that Marley's the lead vocal. I agree everyone "was equally important," but the uploader's error actually contradicts that. Nittygritty's post addresses that.
I'm with you in clarifying that the artist is "The Wailers" and in noting that Bunny Wailer is the lead vocal. The person posting this might have intended to make it easier to find by putting in Marley's name, but that's what the "Tag" function is for.
This is BUNNY WAILER singing,,,,,he doesn't get proper credit,,,that's why he left.
Bob is great
Wonderful way to put it dude! Pass it on!
Burnin' is a roots reggae album by The Wailers, released in 1973 . The fourth album by Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer (the last before Tosh and Bunny departed for solo careers and the band became known as Bob Marley & the Wailers), Burnin opens with a signature song, the call to action "Get Up, Stand Up" and includes the songs "Duppy Conqueror", "Small Axe", "Put It On" and "Pass It On" are re-recordings of songs previously released.
You may very well be right...in the documentaries I have watched they were all equals and Bunny rang a bell in my feeble old mind...my bad
it may be an early one...they had a different style to begin with....then as they progressed they developed their own style they are so famous for. Just a thought.
Yes mi Idren.
I concur!!
I ultra agreee but htis vibes may be didnt happen w/o the vibes and influence of BOB I can say more, you probably wouldnt listen reggae if it wasnt cuz bob influence. We gotta thanks Bob and the guy that with lots of effort publish this!! giv thx and prays to Jah!! One love One God One Unity. Feeling ur comment litte bit negative, get rid of that and youll see!! ;)
Bob Marley is a Wailers
He did write it...maybe that is why he gets some of the credit?
Funny thing...I have a CD entitled "Bob Marley and the Wailers" and this song is on it (one of my favorites) so I kinda think you are splitting hairs. :)
Bob Marley started group The Wailers :)
Don't put the herb in the same boat as those things. --watch?v=khxOiIN_6Ng
Blah blah blah yes we all know its bunny livingston aka wailer, singing lead, awesome...:)))
Honestly why do you even care... that's there business..Just stay away if you don't like it. Simple. I mean unless they want help quitting ..then that's a whole different story
Andrew Reynolds brought me here
Im now in love
Its so annoying that Bob Marley is wrongly credited for so many songs
I dont know how I had never heard this song before, but it is one of the most beautiful and profound I have EVER heard. Bless.
The song actually was written by Bob Marley but he wanted Bunny to sing
