Marley, Bob - One Foundation Lyrics
Got to build our love on one foundation;
Got to build our love on one foundation;
Got to build our love on one foundation.
There will never be - yeah! - no love at all;
Got to put aside them segregation, yeah!
Got to put aside them organization;
Got to put aside them denomination.
There will - there will never be no love at all;
I mean there will never be no love at all.
(Got to build our love) So build our love
(on one foundation) On one foundation;
(Got to build our love) Come, let us build our love
(Got to build our love) Got to build our love
(on one) on one foundation (foundation),
Or there will never be a single drop of love;
you won't have no freedom now, yeah!
Got to come together
We are birds of a feather;
We got to come together
'Cause we are birds of a feather;
Got to come together
'Cause we are birds of a feather;
Or there will never be (Lord, have mercy!) no love at all -
There will never be - yeah, yeah! - no love at all.
We also got to realize we are one people, yeah!
Got to realize that we are one people, yeah!
We got to realize we are one people,
Or there will never be no love at all -
There will never, never, never be no love at all.
Got to build our love on one foundation;
Got to build our love on one foundation;
Got to build our love on one foundation;
Got to build our love on one foundation;
Got to build our love on one foundation ... [fadeout]

Who wrote the songs of this album Bob marley go find it ppl
Bosir Maye Peter has Bunny also wrote songs
Peter tosh and the wailers . Recognizable his particular sound from the first bar ❤️
peter tosh puttin it in order
IF IM NOT MISTAKEN, I'VE HEARD BOB MARLEY SAID THAT " MI NEVA TELL NUH ONE BOUT BOB MARLEY AND THE WAILERS...";....BOB SAID;-- " IM A WAILER TOO " ......
nice love the message
There was a reason why Bob Marley was lead vocal....
This is the first song i listen to in the morning, it just puts me where i need to be. I have heard this track literally thousands of times and i still get the chills everytime i hear it.
same. my favorite wailers song
Peter Tosh, great lyricist, singer and reggae artist!
A better singer than Bob in my view.
AGREE MATE , BUT DIFFERENT, PETE COULDNT DO DUPPY CONQUERER AS SMOOTH, THEY MAKE IT WORK DIFFERENTLY, BOTH LISTENABLE.
oh laaaaw. it tis de rootz

Peter Tosh at his best!
Yes Rasta! Jah Bless them souls!
Peter was overlooked... He taught Bob how to play the guitar...
In a way he was... but Peter has a Body of work that will stand eternal, huge fan of Peter Tosh
Light up the b
The Wailers featuring Peter Tosh Not Bob Marley & The Wailers. It's evident from the album sleeve that this was NOT Bob Marley & The Wailers...just The Wailers. So why Bob Marley & The Wailers? Get the history right stupido.
spelling: estúpido
Or "Idiota", idiota is actually better, Estupido sounds like a child's playground insult while clutching your mother's dress. Next time go with "Idiota"
It's for advertising, conforming to search parameters of people who don't know the history and don't think "wailers and marley", rather "marley and the wailers".. sadly. But media shouldn't dignify ignorance by accepting it.
delroy washington correct featuring peter tosh he sings lead on the first track too
One of the VERY rare moments that Peter has the Microphone...nothing wrong with that Mon! Nothin at ALL!!!
when they made Peter a second singer it about the acceptance of the group because at the time Peter skin color may skip the group to forward internationally
Peter Tosh lead vocal
+Forrest George One of the reasons I love the song so much...Peter Tosh. Magic.
This is just the Wailers, not Bob Marley & the Wailers.
Absolutely, it clearly says it on the album cover. To compound it it's Peter's song.
This isn't just the Wailers.. this is Bob Marley and the Wailers..
Yeah
Amen. I don't know why they keep listing it as such. Bob Marley and the Wailers is a totally different group Sans Peter and Bunny.
the wailers , the business.
No. The band was simply The Wailers. Later it became Bob Marley and The Wailers. They were singing Ska in the 60's.
Aston "Family Man" Barrett!!!
there will never be
No love at all
It's a shame Blackwell didn't recognise Peter's worth, if he had at least he and Bob might have stayed together.
one love
peter tosh another reggae legend
Why has this comment been marked as a spam? nothing wrong with blessing a brother right? Jah bless every mon in the struggle and throughout, Rastafari
Yeaaah great way to start the day we came and will leave with love
nice one...long live Bob and the Wailers....music is hittig whats all happening around the world,today
feeling peter tosh
my favorite album
@JRoots88 There was a reunion concert in Jamaica at Stevie Wonder's b-day party and there is a great bootleg of it. They do a bunch of these songs and then Legalize it and some of the songs they each did on their own but with Wailers band playing. It's awesome.
@SufjanStevens420 In a way , Im glad they each got to do there own individual things. I just wish a that a reunion would have occurred later on down the road. R.I.P. Robert Nesta Marley , Winston Hubert McIntosh and Carlton Barrett.
This is Peter Tosh and The Wailers ;)
The Prophet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Peter Tosh!
@SufjanStevens420 agree with you, but they just wanted to make their own solo carier.
I saw the wailers live about a month ago. It was the greatest concert I have ever been to in my entire life. Words cannot express the joy and happiness I was feeling during that time.
@ncbloom Although you are right, The I-Threes did sing on some 'Wailers' tracks. 'No More trouble' comes to mind.
@ncbloom totally correct as correct could ever be...(!)
@SufjanStevens420
all of them were artists with their own unique style, it was certain that they would go their own ways, dont be sad. all of them did/do a great job alone, too.
WAILERS = BEST BAND EVER
@BobMarleyVibration i'm not trying to be an asshole , but you are completely wrong. thats bob and bunny singing backup on this track, not the i threes. The i three's we're brought in as replacements for peter and bunny , i.e. harmony singers. let me reiterate " the wailers " - bob peter and bunny all sang. " bob marley and the wailers" - bob marley sang lead and the i threes sang backup/harmony. The i three's were never part of the wailers.
Tablesaw 100% correct
@BobMarleyVibration * Bob Marley - Guitar, Vocals
* Aston "Family Man" Barrett - Bass, Guitar
* Carlton "Carlie" Barrett - drums
* Chris Blackwell - Producer
* Earl Lindo - Keyboards
* Bunny Livingston (aka Bunny Wailer) - Percussion, Vocals
* Peter Tosh - Guitar, Vocals, keyboards
* Tony Platt - Engineer
* The Wailers - Producer, Performer
* Phill Brown - Engineer
this is the list of people who played on this album.
@BobMarleyVibration and it is not credited to the wailers (on the post ) it's posted as " bob marley and the wailers". the " i just bought legend at the mall" bob marley fan doesn't understand the difference, but the gap between the wailers and " bob marley and the wailers " is huge. respect.
@BobMarleyVibration kind brother , i did understand your message, you stated " who cares " and i replied bunny and peter care/d. plain and simple. I'm not sure what you mean by I three. maybe you are referencing the backup singers " the I three's" . they are not on this track , they are part of "bob marley and the wailers." that's a different band , this is the wailers. not the same thing at all. hope that clarifies my statement , peace !
man you cant beat the wailers whether pete or bob is singin, they kick ass either way
@BobMarleyVibration you have obviously never created art only to have it credited to someone else. " who cares ?" trust me peter tosh would care. its all about respect and giving credit where credit is due. THIS IS NOT BOB MARLEY !!!!!!! this is the wailers and its peter tosh's song. so its wrong to credit it to bob marley. i cannot understand why everyone wants to overlook peter and bunny's hard work and just credit it all to bob.
The Wailers. For purists there's a huge difference. And I a one of them. The Wailers! Superb tune...and Peter's voice...! Thx for the upload!
ya'll are missing a crucial component to the tosh/ marley debate. peter tosh scared the hell out of people while bob was friendly and easy to like. to me it's like this - peter , revolutionary. bunny , visionary. bob - somewhere in between.
@josvankampen You ever listened to Fools Die, The Day the Dollar Die, Soon Come, Moses the Prophet, Jah Guide, the list is endless.
thanks - i needed this
All three wrote great lyrics, its just that Marley was more prolific and more accessible. Tosh was to militant, Bunny too reclusive and very spiritual. Fools Die, The Day The Dollar Die, Equal Rights, are some of Tosh's best songs, Liberation, Who Feels It Knows It, The Oppressed Song are some of Bunny's best songs.
true
im sry, everyone writes always Bob Marley but ive been listening to his music since my birth, so i knew that it wasnt just bob, so i always wrote Bob Marley & The Wailers
but ur absolutely right those are the wailers i looked up
thanks!
jah bless!
It's Peter Tosh in lead vocals,so this is The Wailers not Bob Marley & the Wailers.
