I kinda feel sad that Westlife was such a huge hit but ever since they went on hiatus, the solo careers haven't been working out. What's more depressing is their music is genuinely good. They need to promote more.

Rachel Darmawangsa Yup,i agree with u..i also get a bit sad when one direction is so so famous in the us,and westlife did not have the same luck (because they had to compete with BSB and Nsync)

About their solo careers, at least shane has 3 albums,and have done some concerts in Asia..the reason is shane still sings balads,while mark went independent n went a whole new genre..though its an amazing album,but maybe its not promoted enough..or maybe people prefer him to sing balads like shane..

personally, I not a fan of Shane's stuff, donesn't excite me and is clique like how Westlife got and made me slowly fizzle out. I think Mark's stuff is fantastic though and feel like it deserves to get noticed! I think Shane is not doing too bad from what I've heard or seen
