Mark Wills - 19 Somethin' Lyrics
Saw Star Wars at least eight times
Had the Pac-Man pattern memorized
And I've seen the stuff they put inside
Stretch Armstrong (Yeah)
I was Robert Staubach in my backyard
And a couple Evil Knievel scars
On my right arm
I was a kid when Elvis died
And my momma cried
It was 1970 somethin'
In the world that I grew up in
Farrah Fawcett hairdo days
Bell bottoms and eight track tapes
Lookin' back now I can see me
But I wouldn't trade those days for nothin'
Oh, it was 1970 somethin'
It was the dawning of a new decade
We got our first microwave
Dad broke down and
Finally shaved them old sideburns off
I took the stickers off of my Rubik's Cube
Watched M-TV all afternoon
My first love was Daisy Duke
And them cut-off jeans
Space Shuttle fell out of the sky
And the whole world cried
It was nineteen eighty-somethin'
And the world that I grew up in
Skatin' rinks and black Trans-Ams
Big hair and parachute pants
And lookin' back now I can see me
Oh man, did I look cheesy
I wouldn't trade those days for nothin'
Oh it was nineteen eighty-somethin'
Now I've got a mortgage and an SUV
But all this responsibility
Makes me wish
Sometimes
That it was nineteen eighty-something
And the world that I grew up in
Skatin' rinks and black Trans-Ams
Big hair and parachute pants
And lookin' back now I can see me
Oh man, did I look cheesy
I wouldn't trade those days for nothin'
Oh it was nineteen eighty-something
Nineteen seventy-something
Oh, it was nineteen somethin'

Happy New Years Day 2020

This is my chilhood in a nutshell
Man do I miss those days, my brother had a black 1978 Trans Am and I used it to take my drivers test. I graduated in 89, So I had the big hair and skated every weekend, it was so nice to not have a phone on you all the time and just hang out at the park with my friends.
He's yummy! I love his voice!
Love this song
I'm remember back in the days when my dad used to say tell me are you ready to go to Grandma's house. My dad had a 1979 Chevy Silverado truck used to jump in the back of the bed. Those days were something. Now if you do that they pull you over and give you a ticket
1999 something I was a kid when Michael Jackson died in the whole world cry it was 2009 something in the world did I grew I was a kid when it when Michael Jackson died and the whole world cry it was 1990 song it was 2000 something in the world did I grew up in skating rinks and black Trans and big hair and parachute pant
I wasn't born yet, but I wish I was.
Cledus T. Judd brought me back to this song.
I had a 1978 Trans Am with t-tops. Took out the 400 and put a built 455 in it. First run at the track with slicks I broke the transmission. Towed it home and there it sat for a year. I always started it and drove around in reverse. Then I finally saved enough for a built turbo 400. 1 run at the track it ran a 7.0 in the 1/8. 2 weeks later my daughter was born and I had to grow up. I sold it. And now 30 years later, I wish I still had it.
THIS 80S FUN
This song is so accurate, in every way!
That's my uncle Tommy in the black shirt on the far right behind Mark Wills. Met Mark Wills in person and he seemed like a humble man. Still inlove with this song and Marks voice!

Hello from Oroville CA
This song describes my whole life growing up in the 70's, 80's and 90's. I'm getting near 50 now and wish I could live all those years over again. I loved the Dallas Cowboys, had a stretch Armstrong, had a few bike crashes, still love Star Wars and I remember watching my mom cry when Elvis died. Same with the 80' s.....I remember all of it. From the Rubik's cube to the Challenger Explosion and my first car......A brand new black Pontiac Firebird. Good times.........👍
Saw Harry Potter at least 20 times, had Pokemon names memorized, and I've seen Big mouth Billy Bass play. Well, I played in the mud in my backyard, Had a tree house full of paintball guns, and a couple of Nerf guns under my right arm, I was a kid when Johnny Cash died, and my momma supplied. Oh it was 2000 something."

The general Lee is awesome
It was two thousand something for this dude. :)

"75" 👍
How did he memorize the Pac-Man pattern in 1970 something when that game wasn't even released in the US until October of 1980? He should have instead sung about seeing Space Invaders for the first time at the bowling alley, or playing the Atari 2600 at a friend's house.
THESE WERE THE DAYS BEFORE STUPID POLITICIANS WERE THE MAIN VIEW. TAKE ME BACK BEFORE THE STUPID CRAP.🤣🤣🤣

I played minecraft at least 8 times
Had the wii sports glitches memorized
And I’ve seen the stuff they put inside
Playstations
I was Spider-Man in my back yard
Had a shoebox full of Pokémon cards
And a couple of beyblade scars
On my right arm
Well, I was a kid when MJ died
And my momma cried
It was 2 thousand and something
In the world that I grew up in
LEGO Star Wars and coolmath games
Club penguin I played all day
Lookin back now I can see me
Oh man was life so easy
But I wouldn’t trade those days for nothin
It was 2 thousand and somethin
It was the dawning of a new decade
When we loaded our first webpage
And dad went out and finally gave
That flatscreen
Watched Nigahiga on old YouTube
Monkey bars all afternoon
Shook those woodchips out of my shoe
And picked at weeds
The Ender dragon fell out of the sky
And everyone cried
It was twenty ten or something
In the world that I grew up in
Squareball and black track pants
Captain sparkles and 4chan
Looking back now I can see me
Oh man was life so easy
But I wouldn’t trade those days for nothin
It was twenty ten or somethin
