We are all broken and cracked. All of us are in need of Jesus' saving grace. We need to repent of are sins and come to the cross and give are black beaten, bruised heart of stone to Jesus so he can give us a pure, clean, holy, heart of flesh. @Marcus Cardoso Funny how things work out. I prayed to the Lord for another Christian singer to listen to and it takes my son to be in terrible pain to find it. God sure works in mysterious ways. I don't think that the Lord is letting him suffer because of me wanting to find this, but beauty comes from a bad situation. He sure is a talented man.God bless.

I'm not religious anymore, but I do love this song. I remember hearing it a long time ago when I did believe in god. It was my favorite.

I hear ya! I don't believe in the God I grew up hearing about. I do not discount the possibility that a Force or Higher Being exists. I am not arrogant enough to say I know one way or the other. I do believe Jesus walked this earth and brought a radical message of love, forgiveness, toerance and charity. Today, he would have been deemed a "hippy" or "loser". When his following kept increasing and he threatened the powers that be in Rome and in the synagogue, they had him executed. He could not be allowed to upend their power structure. It was politics. But, all that being said, I still find comfort in songs like this. And Mark Schultz speaks to what is imperfect in all of us. He tells the real story of what it is to be human and in need of healing.

Megan, one thing to keep in mind? God hates religion too. All He wants is your faith and obedience in His son Jesus.
