I can relate to this song in so many wicked levels its insane. I didn't wear paper dresses but everything we wore was loose and they took off the strings to sweaters etc. I have a troubled mind, still.

I think this about someone with a worry or a fear or they're insecure. Paper dress could mean she feels like a doll and how she feels numb and fake. Then the whole part with Peterpan was he has a fear of something and in that case it was growing up

hmm since paper dress are for dolls, i think it means that the girl has not only lost her mind she lost her personality? she now resembles more of a emotionless and numb doll rather than herself before she became crazy.
