I remember falling asleep right after it was midnight and they started playing this song. I didn't realize at the time that Rose McGowan and Rosario Dawson were there.

I honestly, am the biggest Manson fan, yet I 100% agree. This is a HORRIBLE version of the song. It's NYE, so perhaps they're wasted, however, you're on MTV - do your job! It's a bit like a high school band, the music is there however they barely get by. :(

I mean, they've only ever played the song live this once, no shit it was crass, but that just was more or less the spirit of the styling the cover lent itself too. The quicker and more agressive drum pace ended up necesitating a much more agressive screechy kinda voice, the overall tone of the song gave it way more energy and in all honesty, the oroginal is pretty shit hair rock (but that's obviously just an opinion there). I disagree, I think this version is a lot better than the original.

It was a one-off performance. They didn't give a shit anyways..

Not at the show I was at..Slayer took way more time than an hour.

They both had an hour a piece. The whole tour was for both of them to get the same headlining time.

I have to disagree kemorc. While he did kind of peak around the era in this video..I didn't get that from his Mayhem show at all. First, I thought he sounded the best he's sounded in years live. Secondly, I thought he was totally into it, and they put on an amazing show. Perhaps what you saw was the fact that he was annoyed that his act was so short. I've heard rumours of that and I could believe it.. While he headlined the show in Auborn that I want to, Slayer had WAY more time than he did.

I know what you mean... plenty of unhappy fans during the Slayer/Manson tour. He seemed more interested in getting the shows over with... that and makin the guy who keeps the mike stand upright miserable (he knocked that thing down at least 20 times).
