I bought a copy of the album and was wondering if the bleeped section was supposed to be part of the song or not. Now I know what was censored!

Ironically the song is about censorship, hence the line "all you fuckers vote, beep, beep, beep".

+joey4245 I remember when Born Villain came out, Manson gave an interview about how the he and Interscope clashed, which is why he went on to make his own record label Hell Etc. Seeing things like the bleeping out in this song, Pretty as a Swastika being changed to Pretty as a ($) on the back of the CD case, and the embarrassing censorship in the music video for Arma-goddamn-motherfuckin-geddon, I can see why Manson wanted out from under Interscope so badly.

It wasn't the Government that didn't want us to hear the censored part of this song because if that were the case you wouldn't have been able to post this in the first place. The record label told Manson to either get rid of that part or to censor it out because if he didn't do that at the time, then people would use the censored line to blame him for the Columbine School Shooting again.

I suspect the real origin of that album had more to do with meeting whatever quota was required to satisfy contractual obligations and/or keep the band active enough not to be forgotten before their contract was up.

The fun of this song is that the people at Interscope interpreted "the president of whatever" as "prime minister", whereas "president" could very well be seen as "director [of a company]". They saw what they wanted to see.

You know Manson's had very little, virtually no anti religious imagery since 2003. You don't have to say you're a christian before commenting anymore.
