One of Ross's best solos ever, really showed how he could take his fast blues leads a step further, it seems like he really worked harder on the music he contributed on Manowar albums, the way he layed the songs out always having them lead up to and an amazing solo (Gloves of Metal, Manowar, Hail and Kill, Battle Hymn), Joey had a very simple chord progression, but Ross always upstaged him at times, especially with a song like this one

That's why he's Ross the boss , I too digg his fast pentatonic style. He's up there with Lynch and Demartini as far as contributing to pentatonics

@001001 100101 you know we all love Manowar but in the end it seems like Ross should have been in it yeah Carl Logan and David Shankle were great players but in the end it comes down to the original guys and where the idea came from, even if Ross wasn't the fastest Shredder he still was a great guitar player that contributed a lot to the music, and deserve to be up there on stage with Eric, Joey and Scott

Ross' guitar work with Manowar is amazing! Especially in the early albums; Battle Hymns, Into Glory Ride, Hail to England and Sign of the Hammer, but Fighting the World and Kings of Metal have great riffs and solos too. IMHO his technique wasn't as good as many other guitarists' at the time, but his style was just so raw and original and so full of attitude that it didn't matter one bit. Got to remember that he had been playing in punk bands for years before they formed Manowar. Most heavy metal guitarists at the time didn't have punk rock background and that may just be one of the reasons why Ross' style is so original.
