Manic Street Preachers - Last Christmas Lyrics
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
The very next day
You gave it away
To stop me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
The very next day
You gave it away
This year
To stop me from tears
Once bitten but twice shy
I keep my distance
But you still catch my eye
Tell me baby
Do you recognise me?
It's been a year
It doesn't surprise me
Happy Christmas
I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying:
'I loved you, I meant it'
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now
I know you'd fool me again
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
The very next day
You gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
The very next day
You gave it away
This year
To stop me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

when do i start listening to the manics' 'last christmas' on repeat and sob uncontrollably. xxx
certainly a lot better than most covers, but not a patch on the original, not even fit to tie its shoelaces
one of the worst vocals I've heard in my life.
and let me troll a bit , it is internet after all :)
+suda serra took that bad.
Most incorrect comment I seen in my life.

Love the Ginga Ninja :P
Yes GM can hit those high notes - he can also hit shop fronts too LOL
who's the ginger cunt?
Great song, Unplugged ! Oh yes! :-)
Maybe not as good as the original but he does a damn good job of it just on his own with his accoustic. And then at the end you see a 2 second clip of him playing live with his band, with his white les paul, he plays guitar better than most, check out motrocycle emptiness and achives of pain and sings as well!!!
He's not in Michaels league as vocalist - he doesnt even attempt a lot of the higher notes
heeeee....ggggooooooooddddddddddddd
ร้องตามคาเฟ่ใด้
Que feo canta :-P
@kennlau They have totally different voice, bith in pitch and range. Comparing them is like comparing your favourite bottle of wine to your favourite painting....stupid.
@raggzzy2 yeah that will make him change his mind...
4 People are die hard Wham! fans.
I tried to get this from I tunes bah humbug no luck so much for I tunes

@Echos202000 He has a better voice than Morissey.
FUCK WHAM
What the fuck, James. Sell out! Slammed!
Steffen Lerdrup-Nørager what the hell are you on about. he did a great acoustic cover of a classic 80s Christmas song when he was a guest on TFI in the mid 90s. they never released it as a single so how does it make him a sell out? complete tool
@plendor
W0rd!! Severell wonderful Albums, a great Voice like Morissey and Songwriting Qualitys like no other Band
get in there jamesy boy :)
zyeah, this voice can do no wrong, beautiful song it is when james sings it...shame for the embarassing lyrics but there you go
@suspectdevice71 This is soooo shit compared to the original, like covers usually are.

that one person sucks. lol
Bradfield wies the floor with George Michael (no mean feat( in 4 minutes flat
@brack909 At Manics gigs, James would traditionally do a couple of acoustic tracks on his own mid-set. Often including covers, such as 'Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head' and 'Bright Eyes', and James has admitted in the past to being a Wham! fan
Christians should not be divided into divisions or denominations. The bible says that we should all speak the same thing.
cheers page 998 btw! cracked it lol :-D
Simply beautiful
Point of interest; during Chris Evans' ego (coke?)-fuelled years he insisted on any artistes who appeared on the popular and nationally-screened TFI Friday performing a song of his choice. Hence the proliferation of cover versions. I suspect that this version of the Wham! classic may be a case in point. Or do the Manics still cover it at gigs? Genuine question.
Could anyone possibly transcribe the chords to this for me, im a newb and cant do that kinda s*** yet.
Cheers
James is so talented.
And he's adorable <3
Yep, the most beautiful cover of the song)
My favorite cover this song...:) Bravo
You are correct... but george don't play the 6 string machine like JDB does he?
BRING BACK TFI FRIDAY!
