Manhattan Transfer, The - Popsicle Toes Lyrics
And when God gave out rhythm
He sure was good to you
You could add, subtract, multiply and divide by two
I know today's your birthday
And I did not buy no rose
'An I call it "Popsicle Toes"
Popsicle toes
Popsicle toes are always froze
Popsicle toes
Oh you're so brave to expose all those Popsicle Toes
You must've been Miss Pennsylvania
With your bedroom attitude
How come you always load your Pentax when I'm in the nude
And you can wear your birthday clothes
We can hit the floor and go explore
Those Popsicle toes
Popsicle toes
Popsicle toes are always froze
Popsicle toes
Oh you're so brave to expose all those Popsicle toes
Don't 'cha know you got the nicest North America
This sailor ever saw
I'd like to feel your warm Brazil, touch your Panama
Well your Tierra del Fuegos are nearly always froze
We got to see-saw until we unthaw
Those Popsicle toes
Popsicle toes
Popsicle toes are always froze
Popsicle toes
Oh you're so brave to expose all those Popsicle toes
Popsicle toes
Popsicle toes are always froze
Popsicle toes
Oh you're so brave to expose all those Popsicle toes

Great Cover
You're so brave to expose all those......
makes me want to rip my skin off.
I see 6 thumbs down. Who in their right mind could possibly not like this? Trolls are everywhere. I like this one even better than the Michael Franks original.
Great arrangement and vocal, almost as good as Michael Franks' original.
Love this little song!
Perfect song for this day and it's accompanying artic blast!
I became a fan back in '72 when I was in the second grade. I've met the whole group once but met Alan Paul twice and didn't have the nerve to tell them, not knowing how they'd take it. It seems silly now, not to've told them, but at the time I was concerned about sticking my foot in my mouth. As it was, they all freaked out when I had them sign their Extension disc for me. At the time they were working on the Satchmo tribute album.
This was the first Manhattan Transfer song I ever heard! (I was about 6.)
