Manfred Mann's Earth Band - Joybringer (From Jupiter) Lyrics

I bring joy and I can take you through
All those days when people seem to get to you
I bring joy and I come here to you I bring life and I can take you where
You can see and feel and breathe and touch the air
I bring life and I can take you there Take your time, remember when you do
There are days when people feel the same as you
I bring time and I can take you through I bring joy and I can take you through
All those days when people seem to get to you
I bring joy and I come here to you

I always loved this song in school, I still love it now. Brill.

    M.... p....

Moira peters yes dear I remember well !

  35. t.... ....

I put this rather jaunty tune and an equally jaunty arrangement of Holst's "Jupiter" for two pianos in my "classical and prog" playlist. Thanks for the upload!

  36. d.... ....

Its from Jupiter, Gustav Holtz. "Jupiter, the bringer of jollity "

    d.... ....

    Really??

    d.... ....

This is a well inspired song; bringing as much joy as the classical piece that inspired it.

  37. C.... 6....

  38. m.... ....

one of the greatest songs ever..

  42. W.... B....

I THINK ITS SO SAD TO LISTEN TO .

    W.... B....

@WENDY BLINSTON I agree, I don't understand why, but it chokes me up. Maybe reminds me inside of something I miss, I don't know.

    W.... B....

Because it's such a happy song, and we're so sad.

  43. C.... S....

My husband was a session musician for this. He did all the synthesizer bits xx

    C.... S....

Why would Manfred Mann, the keyboard player in his own band, need a session player ? A bit like Keith Emerson getting a stand-in for an ELP recording.

    C.... S....

Have always Loved It! beautiful parts.

    C.... S....

I checked with a contact of Manfred Mann 's.
It's very unlikely that a session musician would have used for this.

    C.... S....

@Geoff Baker A bit like The Who and The Kinks getting Jimmy Page to play on their recordings in the 60s you mean when he was a session musician?

    C.... S....

    @Jim Prong It's a MiniMoog

  44. A.... S....

It's based on Jupiter (the bringer of joy) from Gustav Holst's Planets Suite. Brilliant piece of music and this is a fantastic variation on the original.

  45. m.... ....

    Jupiter, the joybringer.

  46. 1.... ....

    Will do cheers!

  47. d.... ....

Check out "Messin" and "Glorified Magnified" too - great albums.

  48. d.... ....

Absolutely! Saw them in '74 - opening act was KISS! MMEB blew them away with musicianship. Strangest billing I ever saw.

  49. 1.... ....

Wow! I decided to check out some of their song's after listening to 'Davy's On The Road Again' and stumbled on this gem again which i'm sure i've not heard since the seventies... Glad to have it back in my life, Absolute Classic!!!

  50. U.... M....

Gustav Holst i'm afraid..... to err is human though lol

  54. S.... L....

This brings back happy memories of my teen years in the 70s, magical days! Is there a longer version of this, as it seems a little truncated to me? My 'air guitaring' goes on longer than the track!

  55. .... ....

  57. M.... S....
