FUCKING LOVE MADOLINE ORANGE!!!!! Only just starting listening to them over the past 6 months or so. Their music is amazing, their vocals are so homegrown (hers is quite a bit better than his, hie just doesn't seem to have the same skill, great nonetheless however.)

What is Emily's guitar here? It has a neck and tone like my (smaller) Gibson but I never see the head stock clear enough in the video to tell

Will be seeing them next week at the ARK in Ann Arbor Michigan, one of the top folk venues in the country.

Hanorah Cinders it’s normal Carter picking that’s used in bluegrass and folk. She and Andrew are very adept, so there’s more variety to what they play. You essentially play melody notes on the bass side and fill in with light strums on the treble side, while holding down a full chord. If you go to settings on a YouTube vid you have the option to slow down a video, which helps when learning a part.

Start of the tune she’s playing either capo 4 or 5 fret, using G, D and C chord shapes.
