I listen to the song, nearly every night. What a great song, for the time in which we live. Where no matter who you are, what you’ve done , They just want to stick it to you. The most hurtful thing we can go through besides being betrayed by a spouse, is to be betrayed by a professing Christian. Sometimes we can’t get over a particular mental pain, but God is with us, for those who really do believe, & for the misfits, who aren’t a cookie cutter. When things get so mixed up, you don’t know said what to who, but that you’re in excruciating pain. He is with you. For all those people, who are misunderstood this song never gets old.

I listened to this song dozens of times as a teenager, thinking the melody was catchy and not thinking too deeply about the lyrics. I never knew how important the lyrics "he is with you in the ICU when the doctors don't know what to do and it scares you to your core" would become. I have laid in an ICU and asked doctors what's wrong and been told "we don't know", and it is absolutely terrifying. You feel lost, because the people who are supposed to be able to fix anything don't know where to start. It is very lonely. Faith is all you have. Thank you for the song.

Every time i listen to your songs i think one of my favorite words. FREEDOM. Because we are freed from the chains of the devil bc God is with us and he is working on breaking the chains right now. WE ARE FREE. As time goes on we will get tangled in more nets, more chains, but he will always be breaking them and setting us free again.
