for all of those who keep calling this djent or symphonic death metal or whatever bullshit subgenre you want, the band is a deathcore band. they've said it in countless interviews. stop being a bitch boy that only listens to a certain genre and then comments on videos saying stupid shit like "dude this is a sick ass djent pre post hardcore softcore vegetarian band". maybe it makes you feel important because you're a part of the small "subgenre" community but maybe you should also kiss my ass. shut the fuck up and enjoy the awesome music.


btw. saw these guys live at the orpheum in florida. absolutely awesome experience with erra, acacia strain and after the burial. you havent been to a metal concert unless you've stage dived. awesome work guys.

I've always wondered where half the words in songs come from, because i'm a song writer as well, were the lyrics random cause you got faded one day and wrote some dark things or like was actual thought and soul put into it? because its super relevant

Anthony Campbell I used to talk with Sean back in the day (like 8 years ago) and he told me that he used/mixed his life experiences and love for lecture as inspiration for his lyrics so I'd say he comes up with an idea/thought and develops it until he's satisfied with the result.

Together with the brutal sound and demonic vocal range- the lyrics have such an added impact. It's truly beautiful/haunting/broken/emotive/poetic...... God I have to hand it to the lyricist for his skills. God damn!!

Actually I think elegies may be the softest song in Neverbloom. Also you're forgetting Marionette and Scraping the barrel, along with Requiem, are the heaviest songs in Old Souls. I think both are great nevertheless.
