Okay mspharding- if you don't pay for their work (& it is work, albeit rewarding work, to write, record, produce music) how will the artist survive? The studio, mastering, duplication, distribution all costs money! Maybe you're still living with your parents so you'd understand why artists / musicians should be paid for their art. According to your logic anything anyone creates you should just be able to take without any compensation. In my book that's stealing.

@chemaeraa You're absolutely right. Some artists do put free songs & EP's and what not. But a band like The Maine deserves people paying for their music instead of downloading it without paying. They work their asses off to put out amazing music that speaks to people all over the world. The Maine is a type of band that isn't letting all the fame get to their heads. They play music because they love to, not because they're getting paid for it. Everyone should pay $10.00 for an album..

They see more money from playing shows and touring.

Just to say something; i think chamearaa or whatever your name is. You're a typical example of the brainwashing that Governments and music companies are so great at.
Music is an art form for all. It's meant to be shared and enjoyed. It's meant to be loved and hated. It's not meant to have a price tag on it. If artists loved music, as much as they say they do, they'd share it freely willingly. If they wanna run it like a business, expect people to get the cheapest form available.

If i like music i pay for it, like for "black and white", but i can't buy every fuckin song i want to have. The Maine is a awsome group of five guys who write down some very good songs, i really like them. I wan't to buy for it, but i haven't got enough money to pay for every song :/ sorry thats my opinion.
