Magnum - The Visitation Lyrics
All that has passed
All that you can’t let go
You shouldn’t ask
Some things you’ll never know
Straight to your heart
Tears it apart
Just like it’s done before
The visitation is inside your head but
No one is speaking and you keep your eyes shut
In desperation, yeah, you dream so deep while
You try to reach out like somebody’s lost child
Evening has come
Flickered in candle light
Spirit in here tonight
And do you know
Someone looks out for you?
But they will show
Patience in getting through
The visitation, yeah, will bring you nearer
And give you comfort so you’ll see things clearer
No conversation will explain the feeling
But when the moment comes there’s no concealing
The visitation is inside your head but
No one is speaking and you keep your eyes shut
In desperation, yeah, you dream so deep while
You try to reach out like somebody’s lost child
The visitation, yeah, will bring you nearer
And give you comfort so you’ll see things clearer
No conversation will explain the feeling
But when the moment comes there’s no concealing

Magnum The Visitation Comments
They have carved out their path with so many great albums, but this type of progressive style rock, melodic some call it only attracts the ears of us great music listeners, big in Europe, Asia, etc. not so in the States as much....but I love it like so many others....cant listen to the stuff that gets airplay today, so I buy what I need to hear. Magnum, pink cream 69, Dream Theater, Devin Townsend Project, etc.

Must get this album!!!
Are there two guitar players in this song, one doing the riff, one the short solo ? There's a strange menacing atmosphere in this song, indeed as if black clouds with tons of rain and thunder are grouping above my weary head...
awesome track from prog rock and hard rock legends from england magnum. we have all seen black skies in our lives. this song i can relate to so much.
Humanity continues to live under black skies. Magnum are the Shakespeare of music. Simply wonderful.

@paul44miles Me two
every time i see magnum the response from the fans is always louder than any other other gigf rom any band i see the performance these guys put in year after year producing top quality shows never fails to amaze me.
I saw Magnum in Newcastle, 14th April 2011. They were amazing. It's a shame they never earned the respect and credibility that they deserve. It pities me to think that crap like Gaga are infesting the music world with inane, trite rubbish when bands like Magnum continue to create intelligent and subliminal music but are never recognised for it. Gaga is a flash in the pan but bands like Magnum never die, because they do it for the love of music and the passion.
Many great bands don't unfortunately.
Being around since 1972, this band obviously doesn't care about making the big bucks. They love what they bare doing and they have a passion for it - and that's what matters - unlike crap like Nirvana - the worst band of all time.
The sad thing is that bands like these guys are wasted talent!..they will never get airtime, because the likes of lady stupid gaga and all the other anemic crap that kids listen to these days take the limelight!!..
Love the album & I'll be seeing them in April just down the road from me. Cant wait!
