I'm a music artist and producer. I see why this was cut when they were trimming the album. It's not really so compelling that it HAS to be on the album. It was a very professional choice and shows restraint and expertise as producers.

This is the Bedtime Stories Era, but her zenith Ray of Light Era; from the first beat, that is evident. The picture (Is she on the toilet? Haha) is lovely, her simplistic beauty, back when she was at her most gorgeous in her mid -to-late thirties.

Besides Take A Bow and Survival, this is the best song from the Bedtime Stories album sessions, which could have used a few more melodic songs.

WOW! Never heard this before. This sounds more like an unreleased Bedtime Stories track.
Weak vocals though and totally stupid lyrics. I understand why it didn’t make the cut but the sweetness and classic style is definitely missed and would bring such interesting contrast to the warrior persona she’s been displaying for years now.

I wouldn't call them "sisters" but lesser copies. "Amazing" should have been scrapped, because it sounds TOO much like "Beautiful Stranger", as does this with "Take a Bow". To me, an example of sister songs are "Mer Girl" and "Falling Free".

before working with patrick Leonard and William Orbit, M started the ROL era trying to work with Babyface, and most of the demos were like take a bow, and she decided she wanned to go more electronic oriented. She started working with Nelle Hoopper but she asked for writing credits in songs he did not had any part in, and she told him to fick off. And then Orbit came into the picture and the rest is history

Thank you for sharing. I've been waiting for over 20 years to hear this. I used to get (paper) news from the official Madonna fan club at the time. When it was rejected from the Ray of Light album, it was planned to be released on a Babyface album in '98 or '99, but those plans were scrapped.

No. This was the original root for Ray Of Light album and this song was from a sessions with Babyface that she didn't use any songs made with him, rather she only kept the song that she and Leonard made/written and later William Orbit came to the project and adjusted the tracks of Leonard
