Holy crap lady..... You are so amazing and I only stumbled across your music today. Seether is one of my favorite bands. You certainly nailed this cover by far... WOW.

A lot of negative comments here so let me share this one true and uplifting comment with you Madilyn, i first heard the original version back in 2013 and was absolutely amazed by seether and evanescence duet. Until ofcourse i heard the two of you in 2014, let me tell no one has ever made me love a song I already love as much as you did at a time period very dear and important to me. I remember i made this my ringtone and was so joyful when anyone called that id delay the call just to listen to it haha! Awesome job my dear, and i really wish you all the best no matter where you may be in life. Lots of love ❤️

I think he tried to turn an upset pain into an upbeat pop song, and his facial expressions make me think he's singing a cheesy love ballad to his girlfriend of two weeks, UNTIL HE HITS THOSE HIGH NOTES. HE didn't convey the right emotion right up until then, and then I creamed my pants.

One of my all time favorites! You guys sound great. To me, this song has that classic 'beauty and the beast' element of a refined female voice and a raspy/coarse that really pulls it together. Wish I could hear you sing it with someone who had a hardier voice!

aha and you mentioned lyrics. if you notice in the beginning of the song they sing "cause i'm broken, when i'm open" that is incorrect. the first verse is supposed to be "when i'm lonesome not open. i agree with you completely.

Cover means making it your own version dumbass. It's not supposed to be an exact mirror image of the original song.
