i started listening to macklemore because a girl i had a huge crush on loved him. Three years later: she no longer has that huge role in my life but i found a greater love in hip-hop. Life is crazy. He was the first rapper i listened to and while i have moved on from his music I still revisit it from time to time and reminisce. Thank you Macklemore for giving a young rapper his dream

because the song same love means a lot to me due to friends i have lost to suicide from pressure on them for being gay, you're young and have a lot to learn and will do so. the "gay song" was not a publicity stunt, it was an important message that should not be bashed as a way of getting attention. I have heard every album of mac from Open your Eyes (2000) to his latest (The Heist), and I can definetely say that this is his BEST album but unfortunately it's not famous...Nevermind that's underground rap which I love...The Heist was pulled out by the duo to hit the mainstream...I mean everyone wants to be famous....Com'on let's be honest....

I fail to see how that's a bad thing. People finding these old songs wont diminish them for you, I promise.
