Why is this cesord?

I never understood why this song wasn't included in the European version of the album. I felt so cheated when after years of listening to the original copy (!) of the album that I own I found out there's actually supposed to be one more song on there. Who on earth made that decision? Anyway, also was kind of a nice surprise to stumble across a "new" Machine Head song about two years ago, after spending countless hours listening to this band, thinking I knew every song in and out. :)

8 months late, but the reason why it wasn't included in the European version is because it was not actually part of the original album sessions. It was written and recorded a few months after the album was released here in Europe. The American release was on hold due to the fact the band had actually been dropped by Roadrunner in North America. Once the album sold well in Europe, Roadrunner re-signed Machine Head and released the album a year after its release in Europe and other countries outside the US and NA. To make up for the album's delay, Machine Head included Seasons Wither as a bonus track. It was supposed to provide insight into the direction Machine Head would be taking on their next album.

Yessir! I dealt with EVERY Major Label during my stint as Music Editor for the University of Illinois at Chicago paper (Chicago Flame), so I know how it works! I guess I got a little TOO excited, and couldn't help but take a shot at WMG! LOL!!!!
