Been a Machine Head fan since 1994. BME is one of my top 5 albums. And Death Church is one of my favorite songs.


Yet I've only just realised with these new 'in-the-studio' recordings, that Rob and Logan share guitar solos between them mid track. Like WTF? One minute Rob's holding down the riff while Logan is soloing, then they switch it up and you barely notice??


F'ing awesome! I only noticed this here because they pan Rob and Logan on left and right channels.

It's the same 5150 head (Bubba) so the tone is spot on!

These videos are cool, but I can't help but wonder about the new members. When the tour went on sale, it was announced as BME plus the new members playing the rest of the stuff. Then Robb said in an interview he didn't know if he was ready to hire new members. I'm curious as to whether they'll be session artists and if they are, whether they'll be anyone with a pedigree. Say what you want about "BME is the best MH" etc, but Phil Demmel was an incredible presence on the stage. Charisma, passion and heart, a huge amount of what made me love this band. I don't doubt there's plenty players who could play the stuff, but I'm interested to know whether they'll play with any feel, which to me, matters a lot.

Thank you for reminding me how much I love this album. Putting it back in a top spot where it belongs 💙
