M83 Sunday Night 1987 Comments
Don't worry I don't miss you
The 80's were such a terrible time when you examine them historically. I can't understand the nostalgia. Reagan, Thatcher, the rise of greed and materialism, AIDS, the threat of nuclear war and of course trickle down economics created by the two devils themselves. That decade was poisonous.
Nostalgia depends on cherry-picking what was good or re imagining a certain time-period. I think the people saying it's "the best decade ever" are simply cherry-pickers. I doubt they'll dispute the horrible things that happened.
Incredible song
Does anyone else hear Dionne Warwick's "That What Friends Are For?" in here, especially those final haunting harmonica notes?
Now that you said it, it does. I have the same feeling from some of the other songs. It all felt familiar. I got some "Build me up, Buttercup" from Road Blaster too.
Peaceful....
Aaaw my year
Just blasted thru this whole album, and I should look further into bands I only know a single song from more often. All the songs on this album are exactly the type of music I'm into. I even enjoyed the songs without lyrics just as much IF NOT MORE than the rest. This was great 👏👏👏
I miss you Emily, Our memories are lost forever and our dreams will fade away, I miss you Emily.
This song means you should treasure every moment, because your memories will be forgotten one day
Took me this long to realize he’s calling for Julia 😎
There was this one time , I had suicidal thoughts because of the reality I was going through ,it was on that day that M83 released this album and I came across this track , and the moment the harmonica hit ... damn ,that harmonica .. I just felt like all the negative energy escaped my body and I started crying and somehow convinced myself that there is a better life waiting for me in the future .Since then Ive made a promise to myself that I would work hard so that I would be able to afford to watch M83 perform live . I’ve been a fan of M83 since 2007 soon after they released Digital Shades vol 1, and became an even bigger fan after the release of “Hurry up we’re dreaming” . It would be a dream come true if I could watch the band live .
Super Mario 64 - Water Level
Old memories :"D
One of the best songs ever heard, especially with the harmonica solo. Awesome.
Beautiful
Yes, things have died. But pretty soon yhwh will make them effluent again
For aspergers, with love.
this is making me so nostalgic of my old school. i'm about to cry. amazing job :c
damn i really love this song the way he uses the harmonica damnnn he blew me away im amazed by there talent im glad to say iam a m83 fan for many years now
reminds me of warm summer nights when I was little, hanging out by the pool that was lit up and catching fireflies out in the yard,, and in the evening when it was time to leave the park and I got dairy queen with my parents before they split, and we would watch the sky change colors as the sun set <3
sooooooooo nostalgic
That make me so nostalgic
This song reminds me of the end of a sitcom from the late 80s/early 90s.
This song reminds me of a porch on a summer evening around the time school would start again.
brb, Mario 64 underwater theme
I love this song, does someone know where I can find a piano music sheet for this track? Thks
This is Nostalgic before The Wizard
That fucking harmonica 💓
I really do like this album some iffy songs but rare an album doesn't have a few other than that this album i think shows their true range and influences
Wow just wow... No words can describe my feelings right now... Just brings back my nostalgic moments..
This song makes me remember the love of my life and I've never seen her again :(
FANtastic ALBUM!!!!!

The only good song on the album.
I agree.
you realized you agreed with yourself, right?
Amazing song.
Best song on album. Helping me get through hard times as we speak, <3 so blessed I came across this today... :,)
Stay strong, everything will be alright at the end <3
that harmonica solo... goose bumps
This song is indescribably beautiful, and a perfect closer to the album it's on.
the harmonica kills me on this 😍👌
Oh man, the feels...
One of my favorite track by far. Makes me think back during war times in Africa at age 10. During the night carrying food in the woods for miles with the moon as my light. Amazing!
this is definitely my fav in the album. masterpiece
Who the fuck is cutting onions here man!!!?
I love m83
I come back to this album so often. It's so brilliant and so underrated I think. This song is so beautiful to me. I love M83 so much. Anthony is one of my all-time favorite artists.
Watching this on a late Sunday night 30 years later
MA-GNI-GIQUE
Reminds me of Cowboy Beebop
I was born same year same time
m83 is magical
Yulia,alexander
what a band ❤👌
Exactly the sort of harmonica solo Stevie Wonder did in the 80s.
This song is HANDS DOWN(no debate possible) the best song that M83 placed on this album. To be frank the majority of the rest of this album really is Junk, but this song is the antithesis of junk for sure! TRUMPENCE
YO lol please tell me you do not seriously sign all your comments like that
reminds me of neil young
celestial voices
I was born on Good Friday '87, so this song, not just because it's my fav. on this album, really resonated with me as if this song were meant to be listened by my parents as they sat at home with their new child. Deep stuff M83, just PLEASE keep on track with THIS type of melodic empyrean sound; it is unrivaled!! :D
In my iTunes I actually made up a unique genre for M83's music and theirs alone: Neon Synthrock
Honestly I'm not crazily impressed with this album of M83. I really love their signature 'silent music' where the lyrics are kept to a minimum(generally speaking) and their soft memory-inducing tunes trance through the halls of our ears. This song is the one song that keeps that populace-driven signature sound alive. To one of the best bands I salute. TRUMPENCE
lmao what the fuck is this comment even
I was born in 1987 on a Sunday midnight‼
Sick dude 😆
imaginevinee this song is yours the man 👍🏻

M83 at its best... A perfect song to start/finish a long day with a relax sensation
CP80 the piano sound is amaaazing <3
I think this is the best album M83 ever came out with because it sounds so different from his other sounds. I was wondering at what point would I find a track that hits me deep in the feels and transcends me to a place where I can't help but cry at the beauty of the sound. Turns out, this is the one. How serene. How beautiful.
Yeap, but I don'k now why...It make me sad too. Maybe the harmonica always blue (dear Steve Wonder present). And the lyrics, wow how sad!: ".. Old memory From the limbo From the night Lost memory Coming back Remember the sun Remember the colors.."
album of the year
This is the one thing that makes me actually cry. Great *sniff* work :)
M83 should've done the soundtrack for Stranger things! Who's with me? They fit so well together in my opinion :)
hamza YES!!!! YES YES YES!!!!!
i agree i think with m83's style and art and unique talent they could compose the whole stranger things soundtrack, shittt id love it if they did season 3 that would blow my mind away and id be so damn happy like dream come true
Fuck that basic bitch show
@Pretorian 47 yeah m83 is too good for it lol
M83 should have his own movie whit a awesome story and a awesome soundtrack
For The Kids and this one are the masterpieces of "Junk"
Thanks Anthony
This song speaks of long forgotten times...forgotten by others...but not by me.
This is Love♥
Reminds me of Mario 64 Underwater Theme.
Same !!
I cried so hard listening this song, like seriously :')
every Sunday night in London 1987 I was going to a blasting pub with the best music ever...
The things this song makes me feel... ❤️
Great album...
Reminds me of the boy I love...and lost :(
Ame la cancion :c 💙
This song makes me cry, dammit.
This album makes me remember the '80s. And I wasn't even alive back then... It makes me feel like I had a previous life and it was amazing. And this thought makes me cry because it feels so *real* you know. Sick.
Oh mince,la déception il n' ya rien dans cette album,ou est passé le frisson des albums précédent, dommage!
god this is the perfect song to listen to while looking at the sky
For some reason this track reminds me so much of Mario 64.
I guess because they are both unforgetable.
what the hell happen to M83?!!!!!!!
As if this song wasn't provoking such a vivid reminiscence in me already, it strikes me even more considering my name's equivalent in English is 'Julia' and my brother's is 'Alexander'... Ah, what a feeling...
The instrument at 2:25 reminded me of that scene from The Fox and the Hound when Todd got put back into the wild. I cried when this memory came back to me, the memory that will touch me for as long as i live.
"Goodbye may seem forever. Farewell is like the end. But in my hearts the memory, and there you'll always be."
Thanks M83, Welcome Korea 05/24
this album, all the new hits from the past!
this song reminds me of my love... how we used to dance together at my hotel room when i used to visit him...
i miss you daniel 😢
3:08 - perfect melodic phrase. Over and over on repeat please.
Sound become more primitive, by the way
I dont like this album fully, another atmosphere and another mood.
I'm crying this is an amazing song
same, man. same.
And me to ;_;
lovvvvvvv
really beautiful
I love M83 Junk Album so much :)
Fuck the people who said this album was bad. OH MY GOD WERE THEY WRONG
+Joe Jennings This is my favorite song on the album, i love it
Relax. It's others' opinion. Fuck you too, btw
clap emoji
I'd agree, however, that this album lacks COMPARED to most of their others, especially Digital Waves Vol. 1 and Saturdays=Youth. But this particular song is definitely within the realm of sound that M83 should remain. Soft, reminiscent, and limited lyrics! :)
1 song being good doesnt equate to an entire album being good.
