The album is very different compared to Tetsuo & Youth. On Drogus he runs with more trap beats and mainstream sounds. Pulls it off, but it throws you off a bit on first listen. Play it 3 times and you'll see what he was doing. Lighter commentary than his usual, so he must be doing a "Trojan Horse" to reach people who wouldn't normally listen to his music. Smart move

then he's going to drop the real DROGAS album along with his other album i think Skulls and then it'll be too much fire....genius.

That's true, my first time listening I was shaking my head but as I listened to it more and caught all the small moments, I got a lot of the more double meanings and the little stuff I was missing that I'm used to hearing from a Lupe album. I still wouldn't consider it his best work, but not nearly as bad as my initial reaction

K Bailey I can really get into the deeper subjects to it, and I only now realized that, as the repeat the chorus it illustrates the repetitive nature of the common guy, going to party every weekend, doing the same shit, and at the end, we can assume that at the end of the song it sounds 'older' and they did the same shit until they are old, wasting their lives. This album was great but the second half was terrible IMO.

BingBongRockety you mean the second half of the album? yeah, it didn't finish all that strongly. kinda disappointed he threw on a song (Law) that was free just last year. and other than It's Not Design, the other ones were "light" in every sense of the word lol. but I'm sure when Drogas drops he'll more than make up for it. in Lupe I trust!
